What We Do

Color Preferences
We currently have an existing logo that can be viewed at www.socalsolarinc.com. We are not happy with the logo that we currently have since it doesn't show anything catchy nor does it show anything that pops and any elements of solar. I would like to see bright colors that pop and catch an audience attention. Colors that blue, yellow, green, gray

Refrain from using negative colors such as red and too much black.

We are trying to refrain from anything that is going to show any sort of gradiante scale with blown up for a vehicle wrap or will look distorted when blown up as well. We want something that is going to transfer over well into any type of print such as vehicle wraps, t-shirts or billboards.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The logo must read So-Cal Solar Inc.
Our current logo can be viewed at www.socalsolarinc.com. We do not like any aspect of this logo as it does not represent a strong company. We would like to see elements of california, solar, sun or southern california implemented in the logo. The logo can be either complex or simple but needs to be strong and POP.

Designers you are doing a great job but I am still really missing that big POP that bold logo that screams Pacific Coast Solar. Come on guys I have checked all of your profiles and you are superstars so let me see it through my logo. I want to stay away from anything typical or generic. POP POP POP!!!

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ At contest close you will need to have 3 different designers ranked in the top three positions.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Please do not withdraw any of your submissions unless really needed. I have all board members joining me on a conference call this week to review all logos and I want as much of a selection as possible. Thanks.

PCS - All logos will be able to be blown up to any size without losing quality. We are required to issue the final (winning) file to you in a vector format. It is done mathematically and never loses quality. So do not let that be a factor. EVERY logo submitted must by site rule meet that criteria....The small samples we show you during the contest will no enlarge, but the final will work on the side of a skyscraper, 747, truck...everything.

Designers,

Let's get creative!!! After suffering a bump in this logo tournament thing with a designer I am starting to feel discouraged. I still have found the design that POPS, stands out amongst the others and really represents a strong solar company that is VERY DIFFERENT than everyone else. Please play with the fonts, designs, think outside of the box and lets not be generic with the logo. Just because we do solar doesn't mean a sun represents us. Please please please THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX and start throwing super creative ideas at me.

Thanks

Please read contest changes! I have recently dealt with a logo designer that decided to send me logos that were copywrighted from someone else and internally this has caused my clients a great deal of burden through logotournament.com. This is not the fault of logotournament but has fallen on a designer that was not conducting honest work. My contest has been extended and my clients needs have drastically changed. I am sorry for all of you to be effected by this but the company is no longer going to be represented as Pacific Coast Solar but instead So-Cal Solar. Their website with their current logo can be found at www.socalsolarinc.com. Their existing logo is conducted poorly and does not portray what their message is. Please read the updated contest notes and send me any designs possible so that I can salvage my clients needs.

Respectfully,
So-Cal Solar

Designers...I NEED your help. Please read the updated notes on the contest. We are focusing on So-Cal Solar and its a southern California based solar company. We are looking for a logo that represents California and solar. Play with different fonts, state related elements (map of California or anything California related). We NEED your help to resolve all of this mess that we have endured over the last week.

Thanks a Ton
