What We Do
Designers: seeking new designs! We're a real estate financing firm specializing in residential and commercial real estate in California and India. We also invest in physical infrastructure projects, growth firms and small funds.
Industry
Financial
Color Preferences
designers: let me open up colors for fresh ideas. Try anything, though I'm interested in seeing greens (maybe dark, saturated greens?), various blues, wine/maroon. Less interested in bright yellow/orange though feel free to use up to 4 colors.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
-Will use design to make 2-4 color business cards (possibly name + logo on front, horizontal or vertical layout), and back with a solid color and possibly light logo based on design.

TIP to be well ranked: Consider suggesting a business card design in your logo. I'm having difficulty imagining how some designs will look as part of a card layout. Be creative. For example, the front of the card could have an icon and name, and the back could be 2/3rds the space off-centered or adjusted design/icon/sleek graphic or lines with the name in small text. Just ideas!

-We gravitate towards professional, western, clean designs (e.g. maybe something stylized (e.g. city or building skyline and name), though we're very open to other ideas. Take a look at photos of the San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Newport beach CA skylines.

About us for ideas:
-We're global. Major investments likely in San Francisco (which has a gorgeous skyline and inspiring elements) and Mumbai, though may invest beyond.
-FYI, a recent project we participated in was to develop (start to end) a major toll bridge in India. It is a modern, single cable-stayed design. (Here's a pic from the bridge designer: http://www.ibtengineers.com/Second-Vivekananda-Bridge.html). We are more focused on real estate rather than infrastructure just now, but the concept of bridging/bringing together is intriguing.) Designs with only our bridge will be rejected: focus on Real Estate.

FYI, some designs that seem to work well for many of our uses might have an icon left, then bar, then words, but your design might improve this or try something fresh.

#1 like the colors, capital letters on capital group. Curious about inverting colors on logo as well....wondering about how it might look on the back of a bizcard with solid background and logo on top.

#1 interesting. Curious how it might look with words in all caps in traditional fonts. Like the small size of image.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

#23 and 24: we are not exclusively doing bridges, but rather want to emphasis real estate development (please see brief). Really like your designs otherwise...like to see more ideas.

#20: perhaps best not to have graphic with PA embedded given we have a few firms that will share a logo.

Hi there - not sure all designers can see comments given to individual designers. Accordingly, here's a recap of comments relevant for everyone.

1) Still searching for the ideal design and very interested in new ideas. Thanks for submitting....glad to give feedback and rank for additional ideas.
2) Gravitating towards clean designs.
3) FYI, like the traditional font types with companies (fonts in the logo) like McKinsey, First Republic Bank in San Francisco, etc.Perhaps fonts like Garamond but less rounded and spread out? Also seem to like fonts in all caps.
4) Not important to stress "motion" so don't need very rounded designs.

to all designers:
1) have the logo say: Pacific Alliance on the first line, and "group of companies" on the second line in smaller text.
2) be creative with color and design. These are all blues - try 4 color, greens, wines, etc. No restrictions. We seem to like deep "jewel" colors, but open to all.

ideas as launch points:
3) The layout of an icon left, bar, and words to right work well, though open to any other layout
4) If you give ideas or designs for a whole business card concept, it really helps us seek your vision and rank you higher.
5) font styles on #15, #121 and #19 are interesting if you want ideas for a starting point

All designers: I need to do one round of sorting to discuss with business partner, and then I can resort for final ranking purposes and point spread. I need to say I am very impressed with the professional quality of the design work from this community, and I'll be sure to highly recommend logo tournament and several top designers of this contest to other business owners.

I am also very impressed with your responsiveness, turnaround and visibly hard work....both creatively and meeting my needs as the client. Thank you!!!!

-very pleased client
