The logo should be based on this graphic: http://netbriefcase.com/images/bblogo.jpg. It should look like a Von Dutch type logo (but not the same lettering or font please!) with black and white with flames. The logo should be displayed on a WHITE BACKGROUND for the contest but should also be useable on a black background. So it will require a white stroke as well. A border or emblem like border is optional but something we are looking at as well. Finally the logo needs be be able to be read easily.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Additional notes to Designers: - The logo should be self-contained in a emblem-style if possible - The logo will probably be used in a corner of a web page and may be at an angle, so bear that in mind - The logo should not be more than 2x longer than it is tall - The logo should work on a Dark or Light background - The logo should NOT contain a Film Reel
@render - it's not a question of taste. Taste ALWAYS dictates a contest's outcome. The matter is the direction the CH sends the field. I am sure most people prefer not to waste their design time submitting to contests in which the CH directs one way and then chooses the opposite or at least gives the feeling of confusion. This is merely an observation, not a criticism.
The comment regarding NOT containing a Film Reel was to point out that focus is on the Flames effect. That should have been more clear. Film Reels are good when when they are not overused.
The focus should be on the Font and the flames and similar effects.
At present the #3 Rank (brad2) has the best font.
Presently ranked #1 and #2 are better examples of the final logo ideas. Same for #4.
