Let's take #130 (without or with the gray tag, which we don't have yet) and #134 as a base for the following tries. So far, we focused on the gray and orange colors (and white for the football, depending on the contrast), but we would like to try to see these two logos (or three, if you add the #130 with the gray tag behind), with different colors. As a reminder, we are still looking for a viril, manly looking logo, so we'd like to have colors expressing that feeling. We would also like to keep at least two colors on the logo, to have a contrast going, and therefore have more visibility. On the same note, we don't want to see too many colors on it, to keep some consistency.
This is the versions of 130 with grey tag: #135 #136 will be back with 130 and 134 in new colors. If you have color suggestion for me, let me know and i'll try
- on #138, could you just change the color of the letters' borders, and make them black? - also, on #136, could you use the exact same ball color you used on #138 (black)? - we do like the football's color you used on #137, but not sure about the letters' color if we keep it...maybe something a bit lighter? so that the contrast would be better with the blue football
Regarding the #141, could try two small things: - keep the logo exactly as it is, except for the football's border: instead of orange, please make it black (actually, we'd like to see the exact same football than the one on #140) - also, we'd like to see this new logo (#141 modified, with the football's border black) without the gray tag behind
We do like the football in black, it is more visible. One small adjustment: could make you the football's border a bit smaller, so that they are not the same width of the letter's border?
Also, we do like your #140, especially with the black football and the letters' border in black. However, the contrast between the two main colors (black and orange) make the "Oulala" not as visible as we'd like. Could you try some other colors for the letters? suggestions: a lighter orange, and another logo with some kind of light blue...if you have any ideas, please do not hesitate to try different colors as well.
Our goal is really to have the "Oulala" letters visible, and so far we're not sure we have found the right colors' combination.
Regarding the football's border, we would actually like to see it still a tiny bit smaller. You're not far from the ideal size
Also, we've uploaded a new document on the contest brief. To solve our visibility problem, we would like you to try the following: based on the uploaded document, we'd like to see the football added on the right, just like you recently did on your latest submissions (with the football's border a tiny bit smaller). Then, instead of the colors currently used on this doc, we would like you to use a vivid type of orange. Therefore, the letters themselves would still be white like they are on this document, and the unique color around them would be this orange. Let's see how this looks, and we want to keep in mind the possibility of adding different colors, later on.
For the letters, if you compare what you've done on #148 and the logo we uploaded on the contest brief, you'll see that it's a bit different: we would actually like to see only the colors changed with the uploaded logo. Therefore, the blue and (ugly) orange would disappear, and be replaced by another orange, similar to the one you used on #140. So if you could just take the exact same letters of the uploaded logo and just change the color of the "letters' background" to orange, that would be good. Then, add the football on the right, exactly like you did on #148.
Now, do you have any other kind of orange? maybe a bit more vivid? because we think this orange is a bit too "dark"...we'd like to give the logo a lighter side.
We still have an issue with #150, as it doesn't appear as flashy as we'd like it to be. We would be willing to try different letters' colors if you have any suggestions. Also, could you please try to put the football just a bit higher than it is right now? Since the "a" is moving upward, the football looks a bit too low right now.
Another try: going to #130, could you just change the football on that one? You can use the "new" football you used on #150, with tiny borders.
We're still trying to have a more vivid orange, probably without any white shades like the one you used on your #151. Basically we'd like to use plain white letters, and a more vivid orange color, so that the letters will be both readable and flashy.
It seems that we're still trying to get a more vivid orange! Also, could you try to make the Oulala letters more horizontal? because they are currently going upward on the right, and all the letters are not on the same line.
A couple more suggestions, once the letters are all on the same line, and with a more vivid orange: - could you try a version with the same black football? - could try another version with a football with gray polygons inside rather than black?
Again, we're trying to see what would make the logo more visible...and we're wondering if the black football could be too dark. Maybe a gray one would be better.
Dear Vbollier Yup, i know that the letters not on the same line, but that was from the file you gave me and you've asked me to follow that. I also not sure if i can find another more vivid orange, maybe the border of the letters are too thin?
Yes you are completely right, we realized that the letters on the latest file were not right. Would there be any way for you to take the letters on this file, and make them all on the same line?
Regarding the width of the letters, for now, let's keep it that way; and add another thing: if you can make the letters on the same line, please keep the same orange, and then, instead of having the letters in full white, use the same gray you used on #152.
After thinking about it for a while, we've decided to focus on two logos that we'd like to keep: #130 and #136.
Now, we'd like to modify a couple of things on them before validating them: - both on #130 and #136, please make the football's border a bit thinner - on #130, could you please try to use a lighter gray, actually similar to the one you are using for the gray tag on #136? Because as it is right now, we found it too dark, and therefore it is a bit difficult to read the letters - Also, on #136, please make the football as white as the on #130. Right now, it is gray inside, and a bit hard to clearly see since the tag itself is gray.
For #156, we are almost there, but this gray is actually too light for us. Ideally, we'd like you to use a gray color in between the one you used on #130 and the one you used on #156. If you could find such gray, that would be perfect. Otherwise, the football's color and size are great.
We do still have a visibility problem with these combination. Could you try this: - instead of using an orange color for the letters' borders, please use a gray. - instead of using a gray color for the letters' inside, please use a vivid orange.
It'd be basically the opposite of the current colors' combination you've been working on. It will actually be similar to your # 140, but the border would be gray instead of black, and the letters would be in a different orange. After looking at the result, we'll see about the football's colors that could match the logo the best.
Update: #160 #161 #162 Dear Vbollier, If you have any good reference about the colors, examples of logos or anything about the combinations of these colors, that will be very helpful, instead we just drive wildly like this to find it, imho.
You are right, and we are actually getting close to something we like. #160 looks the best so far, but could you please try the same orange you are using for the football on the letters' colors? It looks brighter to us than the ones you used so far on the letters. The gray borders look great.
After thinking about it for a while, here are our suggestions for our final logos: - on #157, please make the following change to the gray tag: to make it look like more a football pitch, could you try to change the rectangle's four corners with a right angle, rather than a rounded shape?
- for the other logo, we'd like you to go back to the new file we've uploaded on the contest brief. The letters' shape are a bit different than the one you are using right now, especially the way the letters are "dancing". Based on this file, first of all, please delete the two poker coins as well as the card on top of the letters. Then, we'd like you to change all the current colors for a vivid orange, exactly the same you are using for the football on #164. It looks much brighter than the other oranges you have used so far. You could then add the exact same football than the one used on #164 to the right of this new logo.
Overall, the background of this logo will then be orange, and the letters themselves completely white. We'd like to see how this looks, before maybe trying to have the background in gray, and the letters themselves in orange. (still with the same football than #164 to the right).
We do like # 165 with these letters. For #167, I actually wasn't clear enough, my apologies. On that one, could you please just change the full background in white again? And keep the rest as it is.
That's what we asked for, thank you. Now, on #169, is there any way you could use the same gray behind the letters than the one you are using on the gray tag, like on # 168? It looks much lighter to us.
Do you have any gray in between the two you've chosen so far for the #170?:) we're not far, but it just seems that the gray you took for the tag on #168 is still different that the one used so far. It would really be the ideal gray for us, we think.
The gray gradients between #170 and the tag #168 is the same gray. It just looks different when applied in thin surface like letter's border on #170. Combination between light gray and bright orange would be very difficult in this case, the colors will "eat" each others, becaue it in the same hue, so little contrast between them. should be dark gray with light orange or light gray with dark orange, imo. i hope you understand what iam talking about, it is hard to explain this in words:)
First of all we would like to thank you for spending that much time and energy in creating our logo. It's almost the end and we are close to reaching exactly what we were expecting to get.
We like the 168 but would it be possible to put it in exactly the same orange than the 159 and 157. Regarding the 168, the ball is a little bit more behind the "a" and it does not help reading the logo... can you please put it like on logo 159 or 157.
Could you please also do a version of the 168 without the tag (like the 159, you put the grey inside the letter)
Update: #172 #173 #174 using exactly same orange with #159, but the thickness of the letter's border between these and 159 create different illusion of orange. #175 i increase the red portions of the orange. #172 letters in solid white, #173 letters with slightly gray/ silverish effect
