Black or Navy and White

The business will be know as Open Society but have the full operational name of The Open Society Public House. The restaurant space will be painted with white and either black or navy. The bars will have copper tops and there will also be wood accents. I have two ideas for how the logo could go.
1 The first idea is a letterform mark logo and could be like the logo I attached. The attached logo is for a concept that I have been involved with. That concept is very rough and I would like to see my logo be cleaner and not as loud. I would like to have a play of O and S done with a type or script of Open Society like Wasted & Collected did with W, &, and C.
2. The second is a wordmark logo. With this one I would like to see Open Society stand out and The, Public House be in a smaller size. I like straight lines but would not be opposed to see geometrical shapes used to form the name.
