Discussion

This is interesting. It took a second to realize the open door metaphor. I like how the "Open Government" is obvious.

I do want to make sure that the logo is easy to photocopy and can be done as a one-color print if necessary.

I have always embraced the "less is more" philosophy. To much detail on things such as logos tends to clutter.

I am going to sit back a couple of days before commenting again so that your creativity can flow without distraction. Will return with constructive feedback a bit later on in the process.

We're looking forward to some great results!

Thanks so much. You're totally assertive on the "less is more" concept. I'm also a fashion designer, so believe, I do embrace that idea as well

I think the logo is easy in terms of color management. Easy to change. Easy to handle. The absence of elements such as shadows, brights and color fadings also makes it so

Looking fwd to hear feedback soon! Will try to work out some other ideas for you!

Speaks of Freedom, liberty and transparency; An opened door leads directly to the very heart of the state and invites people to come in. The usage of elements from the actual flag of California demonstrate the patriotism, responsibility, seriousness and commitment to the people who put their confidence on us.

Here a second entry. Someone recommended the slogan should be included. Also modified it by adding some more negative space between typos and image. Tell me how it looks

PS. Above is the description I forgot to add in the beginning
