I drew my chair kinda loose - just to give it some energy, but I've noticed that you're ranking the more precise silhouettes...should I take that approach?
Here are a couple revisions based on feedback. I really like the shadow addition - that was a great idea! I added ".com" to both, but with different layouts. Thanks for the feedback!
thought I'd try another chair - a typical Stickley. I think of Gustav Stickley as a spokesperson for American furniture...so I thought his work might be a good fit. I have a couple reproductions, but I'd love to have an actual stickley set (I'd REALLY love an Eames Chair w/ ottoman!...that probably would't work for this contest, though :) )
Craftsmen furniture really runs hot and cold on the market though. If you have an original stickley it could be worth big bucks. I asked a few of the other designers to also look for Chippendale chairs with ball & claw feet or a Queen Anne side chair with spade feet. I think the people we target with the site will know a real antique from something that was made in the 4o's or 50's.
I moved your re-do of #64 (now with shadow) #72 to the number one spot. However, like you did for #68, can you reverse the way the chair is pointing.
I think if the contest ended today you'd have a winner and I'd like to use the #68 as well for some print ads. But it ain't over til the fat lady sings and you never know!
here's the revised. I just LOVE mission style. We were looking for a craftsman home when we bought our house, but there just aren't that many in this area.
Josh, #159 IS definitely something I want to see a few ideas worked with. I think a better crest than the one you have might work. See if you can throw a few ideas in that same theme at me. I like it.
