What We Do
The Service Desk for Oil States International provides Information Technology support driven exlusively through an online support portal website. We specialize in business application support, computer desktop support, network and server support. We also offer a broad array of services and technology products to the company. This logo will be used to brand our Service Desk division inside the company only, so our customers are the company we work for.
Industry
Service Industries
Color Preferences
We are a division of a large oil and gas company with strong branding. We want to use the companies colors predominately which are red and blue. This logo will need to be on a transparent background and be able to standout on any (most) colored pages.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The logo we are looking for is for a division within a company. The company we belong to is Oil States International, Inc. It's corporate logo is a very traditional, professional, and simple featuring a prominate wave symbol. This new logo for "Service Desk" could incorporate a wave in some fashion but it should not be a square as found on the main corporate logo. Also the words Oil States International should not appear on the logo, only "Service Desk". The coprorate website is www.oilstatesintl.com

I like where you guys are going with these! I would like to see some unique plays on the wave, like #18 did. I like the pictoral to the left like #7 did. Remember we are an IT (Information Technology) internal service provider, so any plays on that would be nice. Our focus is broad spectrum technology solutions and support (we are in no way a call center). Keep up the great work.

Please remember that while the audiences (business professionals) of this logo are of the oil and gas industry, the products and services we offer them are technology related. We offer such things as business application services, support for those business applications, financial application systems, technical training, computer support, software, software support, communications devices, and technical advice. Our customers will see this logo every time they want to start communication with the Service Desk. I like the use of a graphic in addition to the text, this graphic will likely be used as a shortcut when the entire logo cannot be used. Let’s see some ideas that are less specifically oil and gas driven, are business professional, still utilize red and blue, and incorporate the wave element somehow.

Please no more oil droplet. Show me some ideas with a graphic on the left and the words Service Desk stacked to the right, like #7 and #24. We are technology professionals.

I would like to see a mockup that looks like a chat/communication bubble while incorporating a red/blue wave element. I like the text stacked. Try to right align the stacked words Service Desk and allow the chat/communication bubble come below the word Service like it is coming from the word Desk.

We are really liking the round orbs featuring wave shapes. Be sure to incorporate the shape of the wave present in our corporate logo.

Good work everyone. We are in the last day. Let's see a fresh circular icon version with a contained edge all the way around, with simple design, that shows a wave pretty similar to our current corporate logo. The icon of this logo should be simple and look good when reduced to 16x16 if it were ever used as a system tray icon. I like the text to the right of the logo either on one line or stacked.

Looking good guys, good work. I know it is tough because of the color similarities and the wave feature, but several of the designs look very similar to an upside down Pepsi logo. It may be inevitable with the wave, so be creative and show me something unique while still staying simple (even without a prominent wave). Too many shapes and 3D designs in a confined circle can make it look like a marble, so be careful with that too.

I like the creativity coming in! Thank you all. Be mindful that we need to be able to put this logo on a wide array of colorful backgrounds from white, black, to very colorful. So negative color space is not ideal, especially when placed on a tool bar as a system tray icon.
