Thank you for this first design, it looks good and just made it to #4 right from the start!
I don't like the red font and cherry though. Do you think you could try in pink/fuschia. After all, there are pink cherries too ;-)
Also, I like how you positioned the slogan below the brand name, it fits well with the 2 Ls. However, I would like to give it a try with a non-serif font, just like the other contenders have done. I don't have a definite idea on the logo font yet, but I'd like to see how it looks with your logo icon.
I also looked at your gallery and like your other designs very much (specifically, Bedroom Bands, LessonHere, hotdeal.vn and CosmoHut).
I'm looking forward to seeing your updates (and potential other ideas too).
In this design I was thinking about the French cancan dancers and how their dresses have that ruffled appearance - sort of like the pie crusts. It seemed to go with the "ohlala" to me :)
Thank you for the extra effort in looking for a completely different design. I must say the French cancan idea didn't strike me as obvious. Overall, I definitely prefer your first design, so we'll stick with that one :)
Thank you for trying the non-serif, straight typeface. But after seeing it, it's quite obvious the tart/cherry icon works better with the script/serif fonts you used in #73.
This one is clearly the one I like most, among the 4. There are "only" 2 things that bother me a bit:
1. The pink is still a little bit too "flashy", gearing towards the red a bit too much. Can we try a pink that would be a tiny bit closer to the purple color? 2. The cherry clearly looks great, and I can't really think of any other fruit that would come out as cleanly in your design. However, cherry tarts, though they exist, are not really that popular, IMHO. At least, I never thought of doing a cherry tart before... (though I see that I can find cherry tart recipes online). OK, maybe I'm a bit confused and need to think it over tonight...I'll write to you tomorrow when I have a clear head.
I really like this new design. There's only 2 things I would like different if possible: 1. I think the strawberry is a little bit too large, can you make it slightly smaller? 2. Moreover, I think it'll be nicer if the green part of the fruit could be out of the edges of the tarte (like you did for the stem of the cherry).
I like the light pink you chose and overall, the logo really looks nice.
On a side note, if I were to choose one of your designs as the winner, would you provide both a Photoshop and Illustrator version of the logo? Would you also provide the fonts (or at least the font names) used for the brand and slogan?
A design created in Photoshop or Illustrator can only be edited in the program in which it was created. I use Illustrator because it is a vector program, meaning it can be scaled up and down without loss of quality. I would send you the file in EPS format which can be edited in Illustrator. It could still be viewed and resized in Photoshop, but it would appear as a flat image instead of having all the elements on different layers.
Unfortunately I couldn't send you the fonts used because of their licensing restrictions, but I'd be happy to give you the names and a link to where they can be purchased.
Don't hesitate to ask any other questions you may have. Thanks
I really love your design, but Illustrator is a must for me as I have the whole Adobe Creative Suite. If I do pick you as the winner, will you send me the design in Illustrator format? I will have to adapt the logo to different sizes, and I definitely prefer to use Illustrator to do so.
Sorry, I should have clarified. LogoTournament allows me to upload an EPS and JPG format of the files. Providing you an AI version is no problem at all - I would just have to email it to you.
Regardless of who's design you choose, this has been an enjoyable contest to participate in. And it is always nice to have a contest holder who is an active participant and gives feedback, so thank you :)
I'm happy to let you know that I've picked you as our winner, congratulations!
Regarding the Illustrator version of the logo, please send it to me at jr@londner.net along with the font names I will need to purchase to be able to open the logo in Illustrator.
Congratulations again and thanks in advance for the logo files,
