Please update font like #42. Yours looks too dark and slightly more bold. Maybe it needs to be a very dark gray. Also, i really like the icon. Can we see a couple other options that play off an olive plant (leaves and maybe an olive, etc.). Here is a sample from another ministry we really like.
Thanks! I actually requested an extension on the tournament so we'll have more time. It still looks like the "N" is too big. I don't think it needs to be taller than the rest of the letters. And the gray should be just a "smidge" lighter than black. Thanks. Please look at the link I sent for ideas.
ok great, here is the next one, the last before I turn in for tonight. I'll give it some thought and have more for you tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback, it really helps.
I'm really liking #91 with the font size / color. Can you drop one sample with the first icon w/ this font combination to review. And then use the same font size / color with the new icon(s) you come up with this weekend. Thanks!
I think the inner gray stroke (above the tree) is just a hair too wide - it doesn't look like a natural highlight / shadow. Can you make the stroke a pixel thinner.
Also, it looks like the top of the "D" at the end is lower than the top of the "N" at the beginning. Can you double-check that? They should be the same height.
And can you show us a couple versions with this thinner stroke with a different background - one the gold like in #35 and another green like in this sample logo. You can use the two green shades to create the radial gradient in the background:
There are a couple of really small things we'd like to see to the logo before you send the final files. I wanted to go ahead and get it awarded so you would know it's a firm decision. I reviewed the selected logo and color with the client and they loved it; so we're going with the green.
I just want to make sure we have enough contrast between the final leaf colors so they don't get lost. And I'm thinking it might look a little nicer for the edges - around the corners - to be a little darker - almost like a feather brush just gives them a little more shadow or something.
Finally, and this is very subtle, in #126 you can see there is a highlight gradient from white to transparent on the inside of the icon that gives the whole thing a little more of a shiny appearance - and it begins just a pixel inside the darker stroke.
So to summarize:
1. Review contrast of green background & leaves 2. Possibly make corners a little darker green - light feather brush
Then another version with changes 1 and 2 that includes:
3. Add a highlight gradient from top to bottom inside dark stroke
