Color Preferences
Our official colors are PMS 185 Red and Reflex Blue 286. Since we are changing our name, we would like to keep the colors red and blue to not totally shock our customers with the brand refresh. Definitely keep the exact 185 Red. If you would like to provide an option utilizing a percentage of these colors, neutrals, or even a variation of the Reflex blue feel free to submit the option. However, please provide entries utilizing our exact official as well, as in the final decision we may not deviate from those colors at all.

Fonts that we have used in the beginnings of a refreshed graphic identity. You do not have to utilize these fonts for the logo, but if possible it would be great to have the logo mesh with the fonts well. However, this is a brand refresh, so these headline & copy fonts can change to best meld with the new logo.

We are thinking probably more on the sans serif side font-wise.

Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

Thanks for your entries designers!

One thing I forgot to mention in the brief, in the past year we had a new competitor move in literally next door to our headquarters. This competitor is US Cellular, which has a rather similar color scheme and logo design to us:
http://thedroidguy.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/US-Cellular-Logo-Feb-09.jpg

Differentiating from this logo design is a MUST. With our offices being in such close proximity, we do not want to be confused with this competitor AT ALL. We have been providing quality service in our area for over 20 years now, and do not want this competitor reaping any of the benefits if a potential customer perceives that we are associated. FYI our other top two competitors in this area are Sprint and AT&T.

Other clarifications...
Make sure to use both red and blue in your designs, with supporting neutrals as you see fit. The fonts in the brief do not need to be used in the actual logo design; they are just portions of our graphic identity (which can be switched if necessary with the new logo). Also, the winner of this competition will more than likely have an image/meme/icon associated with the logo design to aid in our branding.

Keep up the hard work, I'm excited for your upcoming creative entries! Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hello designers!

Less than one day left, I am very excited to see what entries will flow in over the next 24 hours!

PLEASE do not be afraid to get creative! I'm seeing the same idea repeated over and over again with the icons, by taking the Northwest part of our name and using that as a compass, etc. While a subtle nod to the literal Northwest part of our name is great, our business embodies much more than a direction on a compass. Please revisit the creative brief, and really think about what would work well for our business. I know this is quite the challenge, because our many parts of our business are natural oxymorons! A technology company in a rural area? Oxymoron. A progressive, modern, product and service marketed to customers who value tradition and family? Oxymoron. We know you have your work cut out for you in communicating the essence of our business. However, this is why we reached out to the logo tournament, to catch many of the brightest minds throughout the world in one place.

There are several logos entered now that are very good, and I like the thought process/direction the designers are heading. However, none have screamed out to us as a true top choice yet. However, looking over past designs entered in other contests, and reading that many of the best entries come in on the last day, we are hoping to be totally "wow-ed" in the last day of this contest.

Again, thank you designers for the time you have devoted to our project. I speak for myself and the rest of my organization in saying that we are very excited and hopeful to see what the next day of designs may bring. Please let me know if you have ANY questions. Good luck!

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in our contest! Especially those who dealt with our crazy edit requests, especially our top 2 designers Brandito and DonGato!!! The vote was very close in our office for the final design. So many great choices, it was very hard to narrow down. Ultimately we developed in-house an icon after inspiration from Brandito's digital/square icon. This icon has significance in our industry and for our business, as the "4 bars" emblem is a fixture on all cell phones and highlights our competitive advantage of network coverage. Ultimately we voted the font that DonGato submitted as #1, we like how it is modern without being harsh and edgy.

Again, thank you to everyone who participated, we really appreciate all of the hard work!
