I really like #1. It might be fine" as is" so I would like to leave it alone as a good base. I also like having #3 for different applications. I kind of consider them the same logo, just different pieces.
I wouldn't mind trying a few slight modifications to #1 just to see some differences. I am thinking slight variations in the color of the duck, maybe a light tan on the body like #4's body. I like the profile of the duck but you could tweak the head to make it a little more realistic, change the beak color for example.
Thank you for the options. I will talk with my partners and get their feedback. Personally, I still like #1. It is good to see the other options buy I like the simplicity, it doesn't draw as much attention to the duck.
Another comment. I would like to use #3 as a stand alone symbol, similar to how Drake Waterfowl uses theirs. You can look at Drake Waterfowl logo images on the following link. They make kind of a patch or emblem using just 2 colors on caps for instance to make the logo stand out. See attached.
Also, another comment related to #3. I would like to see a few options where we introduce some shadowing or a little more personality to the head without color. In the comment above, when I said that Drake used 2 colors, they use just 1 color for main part of the logo and another color for background or for contrasting. Different types of ducks have different features that could be shown on the head.
I like it. If you look at the links that I sent you, you may be able to add a little character to the head while keeping it simple. The Drake Mallards head is all one color but you might be able to add a little depth or character to it for comparative purposes.
