North Florida MediationLogo Design Contest

Thanks for a quick response. I like the idea of #1 and #2 but I prefer the clean sharp lines of both the font and state of florida in #3 and #4. I would like to see nhr use a sharper font and line and modify #1 to make it cleaner. I like #4 but the arrows don't really go there or tie into anything. I like the font, location of the name and I like the way the state looks in #4 but it needs something different maybe the arrows coming toward each other and meeting up under the name (like hands shaking but lines or arrows instead. Or incorporate simple clean lines coming together across the state somehow??

Although there are only a couple of entries so far, I hope other designers will experiment with different colors. I do like the blue - green but would love to see some other ideas.

Well, not really enough to rank but the site asks me to rank once a day so I did. I think Baco and nhr have done a good job creating what I had in mind as a possible idea. If another designer can improve on that great... I would love to see it. But that was just my idea and when it comes to ideas I suck at it! I hope someone will show me their ideas and their vision of a logo for a mediation firm without necessarily following my idea of the arrows but with something different. Something new, clean, sharp, professional, compact that represents two sides coming together in agreement. Still not much of a contest! I continue to be here to provide guidance answer questions etc. I am not sure why there is so little interest in this contest. Could it be my original idea for a logo is in fact the best idea ever and none of the 200+ designers here can come up with anything different? Did I make a mistake in providing an idea or direction? Should I have said nothing and get 250 entries like the ASIMM IT contest? Just a boring logo to work on? Maybe some of you can tell me what I'm missing. My thanks and appreciation go out to the 3 designers so far. You guys/girls have done a great job putting my random thoughts into a meaningful design. I remain hopeful others will show me their vision. Where's the creativity?

thanks for the entries. I am still liking the map graphic in the design. Also, I will be using this logo in directory websites that limit the logo size to 100x100 pixels so I need for this to be legible and meaningful when reduced that small. Hence, the simple and clean request. I also like the designs with the brighter colors. Hope this helps.

Still only 6 or 7 designers with ideas. I was hoping for more interest. Although the entries are over 30, most are multiple versions of the same. Still looking for ideas.

Thanks for the new ideas. Some good creative designs coming in. For the most part they have the elements I am looking for. Still looking for that great color combination that really makes it stand-out. I may have seen enough orange and blue for awhile. Thanks everyone!

Just for my info why do designers withdraw their entries when they are in top 5 and in the running to win the contest? It defeats the whole point of having good entries to choose from. Confused??

Speed logo Thats Why I said we should talk to the owner of the site, and tell him logos submitted by they designers shouold not be seen by other designers untill judgment day. That insures thy wont copy ideas that are in the lead. I've seen constest holders threatens designers of thoses that poriduce similar designs. Then in this contest he/she welcomes designers to revise on other ideas. Which is better?

doesn't make any sense to me! Your judging a submitted design instead of the CH. You giveth and then taketh. No big deal if they weren't ranked or commented on but you removed two of our favorite designs period and you didn't reupload a revised version of either. That's crazy! You submit 40 designs and then take away the CH's top ranked choices!

Please accept my sincere apologies for messing you about - I thought I was doing the right thing to try and give you the best options with these designs. I've uploaded all the earlier stuff so I hope you find what you're looking for in either mine or any of the other great entries here.

What is "shortlisted"? Is it the same as Ranking? How many entries can you shortlist? Thanks.

Thanks speedlogo - yes I was aware, it was really part of that creative process to improve on what was there - and to do that sometimes you need to get rid of the earlier stuff to break through and create something better (something to win). Yes I could have left them there but this time I didn't. Anyway I've uploaded all the concepts so if any of them are still liked then they're all available.

I ranked everyday SpeedLogo you weren't here until 24 hours ago. Geez...this is a tuff group! Anyway, if a designer has both a vertical and a horizontal layout of the same design are both layouts normally included, normally not included, case by case?
