Nine TalesLogo Design Contest

It is not a business it is a large recreational power boat. We are looking for a stylisation of the boat name "Nine Tales" and a character/logo to go alongside the name. It will appear on the boat and shirts, caps etc.

Not red.

Can use dark blue, black, dark grey and gold.

The boat is a catamaran (two hulls). The name "Nine Tales" is a play on words related to the boat being a "cat", therefore the tail of the cat and also related to the historic whip called a "cat of nine tails". The "tails" has been changed to "tales" being stories to make it slightly obtuse/quirky. Therefore the logo could include a cat and/or the cat of nine tails whip in a fun way.
