Thanks for the feedback, I was thinking of a classy label that you would see on "high-end" Soaps and Lotions that are in exclusive Hotels like Four Seasons, or in better speciality stores like Sabon in NYC, etc.
I know you wanted Black and White, which is the correct way to design a Logo! The fact is if a Logo works in B&W it will adapt to "any" color combination.
I was tinkering around with colors and found a very deep Burgundy to Black graduation that I thought looks very expensive and timeless/classy ... especially on a cream background.
I'll show it to you even though you only requested B&W...I think it's worth seeing.
We weren't trying to say that we didn't like #88, we absolutely love it. But we as you mentioned, we try looking at black and white and working from there.
Maybe instead of a grape leaf detail above the text "Nick & Vicky's" you could incorporate something more San Diegan, like a palm tree, sailboat, wave, fish, or dolphin.
Okay, so here's the deal. I've picked you as #1 but I actually like them all. So I have two requests:
1) Can you please include the Illustrator file or whatever format you used originally for the image. I'd like to be able to modify the text for things like Nick and Vicky's Breakfast Menu or something silly like that. Include the EPS but for the sake of LogoTournament, but really I'm interested in something I can make minor changes to if possible. I run Adobe CS 3 on my machine.
2) Vicky and I are torn between #54, #123 and some others. We're wondering, if you would be so nice, to include a few (or all) the others that you made. Then we could swap things out depending on the season or our moods.
Next time you're in San Diego, look us up on AirBNB and we'll host you :)
