#8 Sorry this reminds me of a TV show or a mattress company. The Art Deco lettering from your #3 is more like what I was thinking but with thinner lettering and presented in a more sophisticated manner. It may help to know that we are a 50 seat restaurant that offers very unique and delicious food. I know that I am being quite specific but when I will know it when I see it. I hope this is not too discouraging.
#15 I like the background shape. Could you use a darker Purple almost Black (like eggplant)? How about the lettering in an industrial stainless steel color. Not sure about the cloud but I understand why you thought to use it.
#16 & #17 Unfortunately these both reminded us off Dream Girls. (not in a good way) I still liked the use of an untraditional background shape but we seem to be moving to a horizontal presentation.
On closer look I liked #23 better. We'd like to see it in at least one other different background color. We are also interested in viewing it in another, but similar font (like abadon?) Because we are open all day parts, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner we are worried that using such a dark color people may think it is only open for dinner. We remain open to your ideas.
Another fave for us is your Nest. An idea that we are kicking around is to make the word Nica's more prominent and have the word Dream fade or somehow be less prominent. We also liked the font on your design submission (ranked 21st) for twelve. What we liked was how crisp and clean the logo pulled together
#76 I know my business partner will like the lettering that you chose for the word Nica's, and I think this is the most creative design we have seen from you, but it is not so easy to read.
You are correct that this would work well for many things, but we don't use coasters. We have really looked at the need for us to visually incorporate some imaging to have people understand that we are a restaurant. Because of that we have decided to move your designs within a circle out of consideration.
I guess I don't understand. Because it could be on a coaster doesn't take away from being used for a restaurant. I've actually done logos for a lot of successful restaurants. I know that my design is very appealing but I'm sorry that it doesn't work for you.
What I meant about the circle is for one the entire logo is self contained and is neither to tall or too long for use in a lot of circumstances. I wish you would reconsider my designs.
#125 Is there a way that you can visually have this understood that it is for a restaurant? Really nice but we are looking for our logo to be clearly understood as a great place to eat, even though our name is not so clear.
#137 Made me chuckle, the fork looks devilish and the fork on #136 looks a bit like a plug. Thank you for continuing to offer suggestions but I am not drawn to either of these.
#160 is our favorite. The only changes we would ask would be the color scheme: dark eggplant, stainless steel, copper, muted green (olive) and chocolate brown. Can you move these colors around in a pleasing array? We would like to finish the project in the allotted time we have left. Thanks again for all of your help and submissions, Kent.
