Hi, I have spoken to a few friends and colleagues and although they like your design they feel it is too complex for a logo. The other feedback was that the bird and flower element look too exotic - not very European/Scottish. Would it be possible to try the following please:
I like the version with the colour and also the one with the sun. I think the colour highlights the squirrel better - I hadn't even noticed he was a squirrel before! Maybe with a simpler font the wildlife aspects will stand out more.
Thanks for all the new versions. I love number 46. Entry 45 is also good but I prefer the tree with the blue trunk and I miss the squireel :) . On number 47, I think the pine cone might be getting into too much detail again, though I love the design itself.
I like the tree growing out of the N - it seems to give the message that what we do here helps people to grwo strong, like a tree :) .
Would you be willing to try one more thing for me? I feel like we are so close to the perfect logo. Could you try replacing the bird with a flower - I will post some design links below. If the flower could be a rose, like the one in the pictures, that would be great as its a design that is used on the front of the house and throughout the house and would be great to include in the logo. You are welcome to add a leaf/thorn/stem if that makes it more recognisable.
Thanks for doing this so quickly. Its a very beautiful rose. However, I'm really sorry but I am going to be difficult again. Although I love the rose I think it is too detailed and 'heavy' compared to the rest of the design. Could you try simplifying it so it is more like a wild rose - just a few simple/single petals done in a line drawing, rather than multiple small detailed layers. Also, maybe just one leaf instead of several. And adjust the colour to a paler pink. More like this one:http://pinterest.com/pin/358458451561226375
I love the little spires you have added at the top of the house.
Thank you and I hope you had a good weekend.
Deborah
I'm sorry to keep asking for more changes. I never quite know what I need until I see it. I hope I am not turning into one of your more difficult customers!
P.S. I think the other issue is that the new rose is too lifelike in its detail and the other elements are more stylised - the squirrel is a perfectly recognisable squirrel - but done in just a few clever lines (and also slightly Celtic because of the little swirls). If you could do something similar with the rose - and maybe colour the lines rather than the fill - that might work better? But the tree works fine with filled in colour, so I leave it to you to play with though, you are the expert.
