Hi, No problem. I sort of felt that my designs were going in the wrong direction too. I was finding them a looking to old and depressing (as my teenagers called it "old folks home". LOL Anyway, thanks for the feedback (wish more clients were as involved in own their contests). Best of luck.
Hey there -- after some early surveying and discussion, we've narrowed the choice to the top 3 current designs, So, I'm afraid I can't be encouraging. I really appreciate your participation here -- and this new take is a step up on the previous efforts -- but we've just settled on a couple other options.
I see that one of my versions of this one is ranked higher. I it the white anchor or the checker that nixed this one? I guess my question is should I implement any of #150 into #105 ?
OK, good to know. Should I make a green version of any of the color one's I made? Or, should I consider those out of contention and focus on my higher ranked designs?
It's not necessary that the triangles alternate in color for the logo! Red White & Blue isn't us, really, and is more suggestive of a national organization.
Hi there -- thanks for the new designs, but I kinda think I'm tending toward this being your most promising one -- it has kind of a dated 70's look -- could you perhaps experiment with colors and fonts, and perhaps also modify it so it's a little closer to square (but not square)?
I steered more towards the red, white and blue them since it is associated with New England. Also, I thought it looked a bit more cheerful and more exciting than the green. If there is any that you rather see in green, just let me know and I'll change it immediately.
Oops, sorry I spent too much time working on the new designs that I did not notice that the "Open Phase" just closed. I won't be able to upload the new designs at this point.
I have been away from the site for a long time. (This is the second contest I've done in over a year.) It used to be that we were required to maintain some consistency and not enter an oversized logo. Since we are in a "Blind Phase" I cannot see how that stand has changed. I'll look at some other finished contests and see what the new norms are. I'll then redo some of the entries and upload again. :)
I'll go through the comments and make the requested changes. (BTW - Thanks for providing feedback, designers usually enter "concepts" and then depend on the clients to direct the "execution". Without your valuable input, we never know if it's a concept that gets turned down or if it's the way it is presented i.e. layout, lettering, colors...)
Also, it seems like your design is smaller compared to the other in the gallery and I think you lose some comparability as a result -- could you provide a larger version?
This is pretty cool! No one else has had the idea of putting the anchors on the checkers, which is a natural idea. I wonder if there's a way to get it a little taller (closer to square)?
Thanks for the design! Thats a clever integration of BG and anchor elements, but I think it's overall a little too 'dainty' in effect. . . . I think we probably want something with more integration of the club name and graphic elements.
I'm kind of late to the party, but it looks like a fun contest to join. Please provide feedback if possible. I tried to maintain a "New England", keeping the logo modern but with hint of a maritime feel.

I was not sure what you mean by "more integration". Can you explain?
Thanks! :)
