I think this is a strong contender. 5 years ago envision commented on #46 Withdrawn And this one is with he anchor in white. Thank you. 5 years ago envision commented on #45 Withdrawn As you may see, it translates easily to BW. This version is with the anchor in black. 5 years ago Albert commented on #31 Withdrawn Yes, that's better! I'd say this general idea seems like a good candidate and doesn't need more tweaking at this time. I'm realizing that one thing I think I'm going to have to think about is whether I can print a version of the logo in a b/w version. Do you think this would translate to b/w ok? 5 years ago envision commented on #31 Withdrawn The updated design. Have a pleasant evening! 5 years ago Albert commented on #26 Withdrawn I think enclosing the anchor within the borders of the board is a little less successful, but I'll keep this design handy for now and see if I have further thoughts.... 5 years ago Albert commented on #25 Withdrawn These are both interesting variations. I like using the checker for the 'O' a lot more than the cube. One thing I like a bit less is the gradient tones in the lettering (and maybe the triangular points too, which is dulling the overall impact a bit maybe? Could we try a 'flatter' approach? 5 years ago envision commented on #25 Withdrawn Thank you for the feedback. Here are the revised versions. Best regards. 5 years ago Albert commented on #12 Withdrawn I really like the integration of the anchor with a complete backgammon board! I think that featuring the full board in the design provides enough visual cueing, so using the cube for the 'O' might be overkill and may lessen the impact of the overall design. The 'Estd.' likewise is okay, but definitely not a priority. The 'rope' circle is a clever tie-in with the nautical theme, but since we aren't actually a sailing club, may be too much (anchor is a BG term, but rope is not). I would actually really be interested to see a design with this overall strategy but a somewhat more modern look. One thought is that the circular shape could be somehow made to look like a checker? (I've added some pictures of carved checkers, but a checker is pretty much a checker). But this might be 'too much' also. Great start! 5 years ago envision commented on #12 Withdrawn Please let me know if you would like to see any revisions (fonts, colors, layout etc). Thank you. 5 years ago
