ok, we have been extended for 3 days in the finalist phase. Can you see the previous messages that I sent and see if you can submit something like the sketch that I provided in the photos section of the contest?

Angus- Looks like we have been extended for 3 days in the finalist phase. I like this concept, but not sure if it works 100%. We are concerned that image might not translate or show up well on a yard sign. What are some ways we can simplify this, and still get the screen door/front porch feel?

Thanks for the message! Unfortunately it looks like you've extended the Judging phase and not the actual contest - during judging only the 1st ranked designer can resubmit. In Top 5, only the top 5 can and in Open Phase everyone can submit entries. So if you'd like all designer to submit new designs you might want to contact Admin and ask them to extend the whole contest. Hope that helps.

I just added a photo of a scratch that has been in my head to the brief photo files to give you and idea

Angus- we have extended the tournament and want to expand on some ideas that have come up in this process. We like the text on this. Can you submit 1. Just like this but make the blues more of a cobalt color. And 2. Submit one Can you replacing the lantern with an adorondack chair. And change the blue color to more of a cobalt.

We like this idea. One concern we have is that the detail in the door area would be lost when this shows up on a business card, or on yard sign. But we like the detail.

Thanks, for trying this option. After looking at it I am not sure how well it will work. Just too rectangular.

No sorry, to clarify, put the lantern on the left and the name to the right of it. And resize the name so that it is proportionate to the lantern.

Just to clarify - do you mean spacing out the letters and bringing The lantern down in line with the name so the letter H would be in the middle of the lantern??

Could we see this with the lantern in front of the lettering? That would also mean resizing the fonts sizes to fit properly. Also with the gray a little bit darker. Thanks!

Can you update the door and make it look more think a screen porch door?

If you refer to the PDF brief, you will see some samples of lanterns. Can you add some thicker lines to complete the look of the lantern?

And another in a different shade again, and this time experimenting by creating an "N" in the lantern.

And another but in a slightly different shade of blue!

And here is a version without the central light element and a tad darker!

No problem at all - new options coming right up!

We are on the right track now! Could you take out the light in he lantern. And make the blue a tinge darker...or not as teal?

Thanks for the feedback and comments, always appreciated! Yeah I know what you mean with the rocking chair - it was tricky doing one from a front perspective whilst still making it feel like a rocking chair. An angled one wouldn't feel quite right in this.

No problem, will try one with a door instead.

This is really cool. The rocking chair seems a bit awkward. Maybe to many lines at the bottom. Can't really tell that it is a rocking chair at first glance. Can you tweet the rocking chair a bit.

And also, What if you got rid of the rocking chair and put a door instead? Take a peek at the brief PDF and maybe that can give you an idea of a hill country modern door.

Welcome to Logotournament - I hope this finds you well and having a good week so far?

Here is one of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. The logo is 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed.

It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say.
