I hope you will not mind my pointing out that few of the designs still standing will be easily reproduced in print. Eye-candy is nice and fine for the web, but a good mark will be versatile across media.
Very valid point and a concern we've thought about - is there any other thoughts or creative ideas you had for the image above the fonts on your entry? Like how you incorporated the globe, just not completely sold on the NRV image - maybe it's the circles in the N that make it look like a U
Like how you made NET & REV different - would it be better if we remove Corp. and made Media bigger to balance with NetRev?
Also would like to see the fonts more attention grabbing instead of just stand fonts - and bring down the size of NETREV and increase size of MEDIA - also any thoughts on other color combinations that will go with the blue?
Would also like to see the N without the cutouts (pie pieces) and add the swirl like entry #207 - but have it going in the direction of the world spinning (clock wise) instead of against it.
Hi Mark, I've made some changes in the series that follows. As for fonts, so-called 'standard' fonts got that way because they are tried and true ie., they are very reliable, readable, scalable, and overall professional looking. None-the-less, I have added a few enhancements that I think work well to support the overall message and graphic unity without compromising the integrity of the original font, one which I love for reasons mentioned.
Trust that I will work with you to your complete satisfaction if a design of mine is chosen. Cheers and good luck with your decision. Steve. (This comment references Entry #332)
