okay thanks for the appreciations first of all... having a happy customer worth more :) you already knew that haha ...
let me first make all the adjustments.
according to the rules here , i can only give you the winning designs. any other offer will be probably considered a backdoor deal...not good for me hehehe...
but : after the contest is complete we can arrange something about the oval shape as well (it may come to some aditional payment, don't worry , not too much )

Slight points.

* I prefer the slightly smaller Inn from #70
* I prefer the larger AnchorT in #70
* I like the subtle blue line within the rope in #71
* I like the rougher rope edge as shown in the oval design.

I would like to select this round logo as winner - but is it at all possible to get a matching oval version as well? I think the round will lend to my merchandise & media better - the oval to the building & physical signage.

Can you make the oval version match the round? ie. larger T and changed inn/barstro font and then advise me on how I can get both versions?

seems a bit dull...agree

May I ask your opinion?

* I miss the white and effects now that I see it stripped down. Miss the fine blue line inside rope. Seems to have lost creativity with their removal.
* I do like the new Inn/Barstro font
* Thank you for elongating the anchorT but it now seems smaller rather than more prominent, perhaps it's the lack of white.
* It looks bottom heavy with the coordinates - very bad suggestion on my part.

David. We are selecting your logo. I am not requesting changes in vain, just hoping to achieve the best result. Sadly, I do not have the vision to 'see' the changes in my mind and apologize if I am making too many requests.

changed inn and barstro font face to a simpler modern/retro font .
slipped in coordinates . elongated the anchor so it doesn't cover the U .
removed all effect parts over text, rope so on.
all white changed to a very light cream

Thank you for your thoughtful remarks. You are absolutely correct regarding clientele...and the majority of those who preferred your design were in our target market. We love the Nauti font. The rope edge. The rope on the T. The colors are perfect. The bottom banner. If you are willing to do one last round of modifications? May we suggest the following...
1. Extend/enlarge the anchor T so we can see the u before it. From a distance the u/T gets muddled.
2. With an extended - or more prominent T may we achieve a circular logo?
3. In a circular design, not sure how Barstro will fit - though we do have the gps coordinates which may prove useful in the banner. I don't know - maybe too busy. I'd defer to you for balance.

4. Perhaps the white is a little flashy?
5. Is the font in Inn & Barstro too rustic and contrast to the scripted Nauti? Or is that a better design principle?

the design may be a little flashy, but removing all the "light" effects on lettering, rope may definitely help

it doesn't bother at all.
regarding the upscale matter, usually is in the eye of the beholder.
idea is that a logo, unfortunately doesn't have to appeal to you ...but to your clientele , or the people that will support it financially :) , so, as a parenthesis...if 14 out of 20 like mine...well...
as for me, i have stated in my previous comment, i'll assist you with all that i can...

Thank you for answering. We are having a hard time deciding on logo and knowing we can manipulate the elements helps. We Asked 20 people - 14 like yours! But I still think I'll need to find someone to continue working on this to get it where we need. Our business will be very trendy and up-scale casual...quiet, classy, comfortable, a little exclusive....this sign definately looks stronger and better - but it feels like 'fun bar' not 'classy place'. Do you have thoughts on this? I am sorry if this bothers your time.

the logo can be recolored, disassembled , so on .
i may be able to assist you with that, in time .

Hello David. If we go with this logo, is the design file this version only? Or do we have the option of modifying the colors to match our decor and possibly isolate the elements for the purpose of merchandising?

Yes. 5. Maybe not closed all the way around like a hard border, but the wheel split around the wording. If I am unclear I am very sorry.

Yes, I see. thank you. Curious. You had submitted another design that incorporated a ships wheel around the perimeter. My husband actually pointed out he'd like to see if the element of a split wheel would work with this design ( 1/2 wooden wheel above and 1/2 below) I most especially like the font you're working with on 'Nauti'. We are wood boat owners and this is very reminiscent of a name gold leafed on the transom of a vessel.

added only a fine border around everything ...may help when cutting it or delimitation.

I do like the warmth and visual dimension the background color provides. It's actually quite similar to our plans for interior wall color...a very traditional 'wood boat' hue that compliments varnished wood (which tends to be a bit redder ie. Mahogany) Thanks :)

version with a bit of background and vague shadow...could be used for menus/ online media , facebook...
