What We Do
Our mission is the preservation of artifacts and history related to production and products of the early aluminum industry for interpretive display at various local, regional and national events, with the aim of enlightening and inspiring our audience to understand and appreciate hard work, ingenuity, and the heritage of aluminum and its uses in the mass market.
Our not-for-profit is made up of people with a passion for preserving the stories and artifacts related to this industry. The National Aluminum Production Heritage Association will collect this history to preserve and display for future generations.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
Based in Massena, NY where the oldest continuously operated integrated aluminum manufacturing facility exists. For > 100years Massena, NY has been an integral part of the rich aluminum manufacturing history in the United States. Established at the turn of the 20th Century in a small rural farming community it transformed the area bringing infrastructure, health services and other innovations to the region. At its peak, the Alcoa facility employed > 5000 employees during WWII era. The Foundation is based in Massena, NY for this critically important reason. The key processes in aluminum production are mining, refining, smelting, casting, extruding, rolling and finishing. Massena, NYs site includes smelting, casting, extruding and finishing. The manufacturing process has evolved significantly over the decades but still remains an industrious, heavy manufacturing labor driven operation.
Some feedback from the Heritage Board was could we see a couple slogan examples of more full name prominence and then acronym beside it? Essentially flip the current theme of acronym prominence and small full name. thank you!
