Our Ideas & Additional Information
Based in Massena, NY where the oldest continuously operated integrated aluminum manufacturing facility exists. For > 100years Massena, NY has been an integral part of the rich aluminum manufacturing history in the United States. Established at the turn of the 20th Century in a small rural farming community it transformed the area bringing infrastructure, health services and other innovations to the region. At its peak, the Alcoa facility employed > 5000 employees during WWII era. The Foundation is based in Massena, NY for this critically important reason. The key processes in aluminum production are mining, refining, smelting, casting, extruding, rolling and finishing. Massena, NYs site includes smelting, casting, extruding and finishing. The manufacturing process has evolved significantly over the decades but still remains an industrious, heavy manufacturing labor driven operation.

Some feedback from the Heritage Board was could we see a couple slogan examples of more full name prominence and then acronym beside it? Essentially flip the current theme of acronym prominence and small full name. thank you!
