Nanny's Early Learning Center is a family owned and operated buisiness from the admin staff down to the cook. The owner, a registered nurse, stopped her nursing carrer when her daughters had children. It wasn't long before she started caring other people's children. Eventually they expanded to build their own building to care for even more children. They have 5 classrooms and 67 kids and are expanding to have 10 classrooms and 107 children total. Very family oriented, people are always greeted by name as they sign in their children. They're flexible with fees to accomodate the needs of the families and often have staff members who enroll their children for care and get to both spend time with their kids while on the job.
Color Preferences
No dark background, please.
We are open to all colors, our facility will have rainbow doors on the classrooms. We are open to different shades of all colors as well. Maybe a color gradient. But not too much or too busy. A pallet that's playful and fun.
Maybe not yellow for the company name because it's hard to read.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We definitely want an icon. And want bright colors in the logo. Something playful and fun without being too cartoony - not too cheezy.
For imagery, we wouldn't mind incorporating pencils into the design. We have two columns on the front of the building that are pencil shaped.
Maybe try blocks, like letter blocks, with our initials (NELC). But once again not like a cartoon we like how on the bear logo the bear is shaded, maybe we can illustrate and shade the blocks in a similar fashion.
If you place emphasis on a word place it on Nanny's.
We want an easy to read font, not cursive, something bold. Not handwritten fonts, we are ok with a youthful font but we are a business and want an easy to read professional looking logo.
We like icons placed to the left or above the name.
We don't want dark backgrounds or a reversed out logo.
We want to make sure the icon and words are well balanced, we'd prefer not to have a huge icon, we want to make sure the words are easy to read even when embroidered on a shirt or placed on a business card.
If doing upper and lower case letters for the name please capitalize the first letters of each word of the name.
We like the colors in the attached image collage, it's on our business card.
