"Nanica" literally means "something" in Japanese, which contains a positive nuance but can also be used to describe mysterious creatures and other unidentified wonders in our universe.
Nanica is a game development and publishing company, and we are always challenging ourselves to seek out new ideas and different approaches to bring undiscovered entertainment to our consumers.
Hi, please can you explain little more why you want to incorporate dark matter in your logo. Its kinda hard to do, 'couse nobody really know what dark matter is....
Dear CH, if this is your first time using this site could you please spare a minute to read this post: http://logotournament.com/forum/general_discussion/914 even if you have used the site before i would definitely recommend reading it as it contains some important info that I'm sure you will find very helpful. thanks! bugy. =)
We are not looking for "dark matter" per se; rather, we would like to see your interpretation of what is causing this "dark flow" phenomenon (this is quite different from "dark matter", as noted in the article linked). In other words, there is this huge, mysterious something out there that is pulling our universe in its direction. Science tells us that we may never be able to see what it is. So, we wanted to see your interpretation of what that thing could be.
Feel free to be as wild as you want with your imagination. We look forward to seeing what you can come up with. :-)
First, we've updated the contest brief to further clarify what we would like to see in a logo. We forgot to explain the meaning of "Nanica" in Japanese (since we are a Japanese company). "Nanica" means "something" in Japanese. For more information, see the "What We Do" section in the contest brief.
Regarding the "dark flow" idea, it appears to have caused more confusion than inspiration. We apologise for this, and you can just disregard that suggestion if it is too confusing. This idea has been removed from the contest brief as well to prevent further confusion.
Also, thank you for all the entries so far. We would like to see more playful and creative ideas, perhaps including a mascot or character as a possibility. However, we do not want a logo that can be seen as too comical.
We look forward to seeing what you have in store for us. Thanks!
We understand that these were drawn from our unfortunate misdirection of the "dark flow" idea. We do appreciate your efforts, and from these entries we were able to draw more inspiration on what we are really looking for in our logo. Please see our comment above for more information on what we're looking for.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing your entries!
As this contest goes on, we've come to realize that the designs we are receiving are a little too modern, clean, and serious.
We want to communicate to our customers that we are a fun company. We'd like to see more playful, lighthearted logos, something louder and brighter. Maybe a character that looks to be comic-inspired might be interesting.
We have accordingly changed the sliders to better reflect what we are looking for.
Thanks for all the entries so far, and we do appreciate all your efforts up to this point.
We feel like we're starting to get designs closer to what we're looking for; accordingly, we have extended the tournament another seven days in order to give everyone more time to come up with more designs in this new direction that we're heading.

Yes, after receiving several entries with red, we found that it can work well in the design if done right. We have updated the contest brief to remove this colour restriction.
Thanks for all the entries so far, and we feel we are getting there. We will end the contest in next 12 hours, so if you have some great idea to offer, please kindly make suggest you logo in next 12 hours. Thanks you very much!
