Hi Tere, Thanks for your entries. I will be going over the designs submitted with Dr. Sid this evening and will rank after that. Most likely we will extend the open phase of the contest by a couple of days due to low number of entries (and also because of his busy schedule). For now, I prefer the main font in 15, although the smaller font in 16 seems easier to read for the subheading (if that's what it is called in a logo). We are also looking for a brighter color scheme due to local and personal preference, and because of the direction we have already taken with the website, which is nearing completion. Hope that helps. Kind regards, Lisa
Good morning Tere, Nice new submissions, thanks for taking in all of the tips above in a short time. My only suggestion at this time is that the last line is difficult to read, at least for those of us with 50 year old eyes :>). Due to the background oval, perhaps you could split this into two parts (so that & Associates is on the bottom line) and bump up the pt size, font or bold a little? I like that the logo is not completely static, but doesn't have a scary amount of action (toddlers on the rampage?) and manic grins. We'd like to think families enjoy a peaceful atmosphere when they visit the clinic. . . . I wish that Sid were going to be available during the day to give feedback on your off day, but he won't be until near the closing time. Anyway, we should be OK as it's pretty clear who the top designers are in this contest. What is your availability for the rest of the week? Lisa
I went back to the lined style illustrations but can remove the lines again for solid shapes. I ran out of time on these. But if you would like me to continue modifying any of these or improving the style, lines, color, fonts, illustration style, layout etc. let me know.
Hope all is well and thank you!! Kind Regards, Teresa
Hi Tere, I like that you are giving Sid another option. I don't think the children in 50 are manic. Somehow that happens for me when they are all staring straight ahead with mouths grinning wide and no variation in their expressions. I think yours are active, which is healthy and OK. It's also good to have some/an older-looking child(ren), since I think kids start to feel awkward about visiting the pediatrician around age 11 or 12. But since younger kids get sick more often and parents of young children need lots of advice, the toddler/preschooler needs to be there too. Older children in Kenya are often very involved in a positive way with younger ones, unlike in the US, where the little brother/sister/cousin is often viewed as a terminal pest. Perhaps something of that special way of relating could be incorporated into your design? Or I suppose another approach could be a parent with two kids of different ages and stages. Other than healthcare, what Dr Sid is selling is happy families. Would like to see what you do with your other modification ideas and also brighter colors. Have fun! Lisa
BTW, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. We are seven hours ahead of the East Coast so I think I had gone to bed by the time you sent your last couple of messages.
Yes, the time difference certainly keeps our patience.
Thank you for the input...I love the family depiction...just not sure of specifics you may be asking. I realize when the logo isn't exact it is hard to see or envision variations.
I will try some more this evening...it is 4 in the afternoon here now. Tomorrow I will be out teaching all day again but will also check back with you in the evening when I return.
just checking in...sorry I didn't get any new possibilities for you...was exhausted last night...today I teach art all day and will check back when I return..you only have 1 hour in this phase you mentioned on trying to get time on this...I will be checking..
