Dear contest holder, please be advised that, although you purchased the clip art/ stock art, it may not be used in a logo, because clip/stock art is not unique and therefore cannot be registered as a logo.

I created my own unique illustration of kids similar to what you wanted. I hope you like it, if you need any revisions, don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Anna, Thanks for the latest. I will discuss these with Sid tomorrow but I suspect number 3 will work well for us. I am not so keen on the new concept as we really wanted something friendly that families will relate to but will have to confirm that with the boss. For the moment, the only thought I had is would it be possible to make the globe/letter O slightly larger with the continent of Africa inside (blue fine)? If that is not asking for too much detail.... Also, is it possible to see how this design would work in B/W (for instance if used in print for an employment ad)? Many thanks for your great work.

The elements can be used interchangeably, for instance, the tag line with doctor's info can be added and removed depending on your needs. The kids can be used together or individually as well.

Thank you very much. Now we will have a few options to consider when we discuss tomorrow.

Hi Anna, Another thought. What if you took design 2, put the Dr Sidney line from design 3 under the clinic name, and then put the Africa globe in the Nairobi (maybe have to enlarge the O slightly, but these days there are a lot of designs with mixed up fonts and sizes. Perhaps you don't like that look or think it is too many ideas going on in one small logo :). Just a thought after a viewing by my artistic son. . . . Lisa

#28 is a play on the doctor's reception area, where they greet patients. One girl is holding the phone, one a pen, they have some papers on the table, etc.

It's cute. Could work well with a modification we're discussing for the website slider. Probably a bit too detailed for the typical space at the top of a website homepage--like the flags. Just wanted to let you know that I've extended the open phase for a day, mainly because Sid has been too busy to look at the designs today. Not because we're fishing for more ideas, although one designer did say she wouldn't have time to modify her initial concept until tomorrow. Thanks again for all of your input. Lisa

No problem Lisa, take your time. And if you need anything else, I am always available for more revisions. :)

Hi Anna, Sid and his wife and main business associate like your number 46 :>). I am waiting for confirmation of his preferred spelling for pediatrics/paediatrics. Kenya is a former British colony, but so many people here are American educated that there is a real mixture in use. Plus we use both on the site for search engine optimization purposes, so I must get his input. While waiting, could we see this design in B/W please? He will not want to use color for prescription pads, employment ads, etc. Many thanks. Lisa

Also, we are considering a modification to the slider on the website that would enable us to use a graphic. I think number 28 would be perfect for this (no need to change the children's clothing or other details to match 46; it's better if it's not exactly the same, so perhaps it would be best to change a few more details to make it slightly more different--different color hair bow or flower, perhaps). What would you charge for providing this as well? Lisa

One more suggestion for the little boy's tree: google baobab tree images and see if you could adapt slightly. Just another local touch, probably our most recognizable tree, along with the acacia, which would be harder to render at such small size.

Anna, Sid says Pediatrics is OK as is. Lisa

#65 has baobab tree.
We can discuss purchase of additional design after the contest is over. WE are not allowed to discuss costs while contest is active.

Thank you.

OK. Thanks. Sorry, there are quite a few rules and it's hard to remember them all if you don't do this all the time :>)

Hi Anna, sorry for the long break in communications. I went to Nairobi and saw Sid. He actually decided on your design at the close of the contest, but he can sometimes sway in the wind a bit, so I didn't want to declare right away, in case he had a new thought and things got complicated. Anyway, we just need to decide exactly WHICH design. Could you just point out to me the differences between your new 67 and the 65 it's based on? Is it just the boy's open smile? (Sorry, end of long day and I'm a little tired.) Also, I think I preferred the colors used on the boy's original Tshirt. Could I see what the Baobab looks like in those colors? And then I think we'll be ready to wrap up. Many thanks, Lisa

Hi Lisa,

#67 also has the boy's eyes a bit more open.

I can change the shirt color to original, no problem.

Thanks. Now, probably last request: Can the line with the Dr's name be a tiny bit bolder? I find it hard to read in the small size it's likely to be used in on the website. L
