I'm thinking I may have emphasized family a bit too much. If I were to narrow this down, I think I'd like the logo to represent "strength", "security" , something that might also represent transmission of data and protection of that data. Does that help anyone? A bold, strong, logo of some kind.

Something perhaps with an figure in it, animal or human, something that can be a hook. Like the "tiger in your tank", maybe a bear, lions paw or face, something that represents strength and protection.
