I think I made it abstract, am I?

Abstract logo is not required, but the right logo may make it standout. No Apples or Book.

The grad hat makes it seem "old school"

The portal is for all students, staff and parents- grad hat limits the image

The district is working to prepare students to be successful in a global economy

Okay, than I will transform the logo. Would you be interested in world map or a globe inside?
I came with this idea after your words for the global economy.
The other symbols of education and knowledge also is the crown of laurels.
I'm working on logo with this elements. You will see them any minutes now.

Would like to see some logos that take a different perspective that the ones currently submitted. The globe and cap are ok, Would like to see some with different fonts/script style text. Would like to see the use of a deeper orange and blue. Maybe more of an abstract shape or line use.. Thanks for all of the great entries to date

I decided to add the red just for variety. The squares are the winner stand. And word "my" is at the first place, because everyone who choose RCS is a winner, because your company is the best in the restrict. #85

Please do not withdraw any logos that have been ranked, by committee is still reviewing all the entries! Thank you

Stick with the darker blue and orange colors as in 47 and 78

here is tip for the ranking system, that will be a positive spin on your contest. no designer should ever contact you to have all there design ranked in e top 4 posts..this is both unethical and not fair to all the other designer who have invested time into your contest.

How are you doing ? hope you are doing great. As this contest is about to come to an end, and you will be chosing the best new logo for your company, i just wanted to have your attention to some important point that you might be aware of or might not. I hope i am not miss understood by pointing out this to you and that you understand.

When the contest ends and you have made your mind and desicion about the winner logo, the winner gets the 1st place, but the 2nd and 3rd place and going on forward, 4th, 5th, 6th , etc , each one or slot should be filled with a seperate designer and different concept you found second best, third best to follow etc.

This helps towards us designers ranking and also it is a way from you to show your appreciation to the hard effort and trails put from the beginning by one designer or appreciating a nice design concept put earlier by a designer that led to developing on right direction for others and you getting the best you could at the end.

It feels frasturating for other designers and pointless of giving all the top rankings for same winner designer, while those were just a small variations of the winning design and therefore the other places 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc are not filled with different designs from a different designer.

So i hope you understood my point i was just trying to point out to you here and all the best of luck in chosing your winner logo, there are really good ones out there.

please take a moment to rank your contest in fair and just manner..it will go along way when you decide to start another....simply because more designers will participate if they know a contest will be judged fairly.

Thank you for all of your entries. Based upon the last minute entries. The committee has decided to extend the contest 2 additional days. Each designer has submitted outstanding choices and my committee has been working with many of the designer to develop the logo that is just right for Rochester.

We greatly appreciate all of your hard work and cooperation.

The goal of the portal (myRCS) is that is it about collaboration, teamwork, information relative to the individual user, information sharing and making Rochester Community School a better institution for teaching and learning.
