Color Preferences
Blue/Navy: for trust and connotation of wellness, should still feel like a "sporty" blue
Bright Yellow / Green as an accent color: for modern and splash of creativity and innovation. Gives it also a sporty feel.
White (optional): as a secondary accent color.
My choice for colors is inspired by Seattle Seahawks & University of Michigan. I like the blue/yellow/white combos.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Our mental health service for student-athletes is named "MyHuddle" inspired by the vision of every athlete having their own “huddle” to reflect, strategize, and craft a game plan for success. The logo should align to these brand attributes: MODERN, APPROACHABLE, ATHLETIC.
We want a logo that helps destigmatize the negative connotations of 'mental health' in sports. Mental health does not mean you have an issue...we all have our mental health and it should be treated just like physical health. The logo and colors used need to appeal to both male and female high school and college-aged athletes. It also should look professional and trustworthy - a service that parents, coaches, and athletic directors would let their athletes use.
The logo needs to work whether an athlete is coming to our service to find their mental edge and improve performance, or whether an athlete is looking to mental wellness support.
A few ideas designers may explore:
- Use a circle or hexagon shape to represent the sports "huddle" and put the text "MyHuddle" either within this or next to it.
- Use some of the letters in MyHuddle to be in the shape of an athlete or mind
- Emphasize the My vs. Huddle using different colors
- Create a brain icon that looks sporty and athletic (but without looking cheesy)
