#8 Ivan, I like your designs and the effort you put in to them! The cursive "My" may be a bit difficult to read. I see you tried to integrate the green into the text but just that little on the K seems out of place? Maybe another way? Maybe just the word "dashboard"? Also, what about colorizing the chart?
Thank you for the comment. I thought about the coloring of the chart and even tried it a little in the ones with the kid but it's not visible enough. I'll rework the design according to your comment and will resubmit. Thank you for the directions!
#9 I really like your using a character and the body being a report. The character looks like a rabbit though and I don't see the tie-in. Can you make more like a boy in my logo?
#10 I'm not sure why I like this one better than 9. The "My" is easier to read but this character being pink reminds me of a pig so would ask for more of a child as in my logo as well. Do you have other concepts for the text "My K12 Dashboard"?
#16 The sideways "My" seems distracting. Can the paper somehow be white an maybe use colors for the bars/lines that are not pastel? Alos can you show me what it would look like on a darker background like the gradient blue from MediaMatters.org?
#18 The graphic is more a chracter and does not remind me of a boy. The character seems a bit melancholy/sad and not happy. The graphic seems a big compared to the text. I like the full sized "K" in entry 20 and not the chopped off "K" in 18 and 19. Also, want to see what logo will look like on darked background like blue gradient in MediaMatters.org I will rate second based on the potential I see...
#46 This character is more like a surfer than a boy (especially without shoes!). It's nice, but does not remind me of school very much... Also, the character seems 50% of the logo and I'm wondering is it should play a smaller/accessory role?
Ivan, If you do make another attempt with a blue background, could you use a similar darker blue gradient background as found on mediamatters.org or does it not look as good?
I'm not asking to make bigger or smaller right now. I am asking your professional opinion about the size of the character. Should it be smaller or do you think it is ok this size?
I think on either #57 and #58 (there it's better in my opinion) it's very good size compared to the rest of the logo. IMO in those ones the logo works as a whole.
Ivan, Just got of the phone with a good friend, she is a big fan of yours. She is also wondering if the student could be younger. #54
She persuasive that I should choose your designs. #58 adds some interest with movement. We're are wondering if you could make a version of #58 with wheels - like he is pulling a wagon. Maybe in the same green and also the traditional red wagon?
What do you think of the boy's age? Do you envision it even younger or is that young enough? IMO the green wagon is better ..with red it gets too variegated.
#68 and #69 I think you did a nice job on both wagons. - I like the character having his eyes open. Will the text in the final result be a little more clear since it won't be a jpg?
You have nice details in the various entries. I think the pencil is a nice option for instance and the backpack.
Do you mind creating a version with a different head/look? Perhaps another version with a younger head/look?
Do you have other ideas that I should think about? ~J
Yes, the text and the colors will be more clear and crisp. The jpeg just ruins it all :(
I'll put the pencil and try different version of the head/look and I'll submit everything I've got till the moment. It's past 2 o'clock in the morning around here and I'm beginning to miss my energy but I'm not giving up! :)
