Thank you for the feedback! I just added some more logo concepts! It would be extremely honored if I were the one chosen to win this competition! Please give as much feedback as possible so I can create a logo that lines up with exactly what you're needing!
Thank you SO MUCH for the current 1st place ranking for #38 of my logos! Please let me know if there is anyway to tweak the logo design or if you'd like to see any variations of the logo I've created! I like to build relationships with my clients and I can extend design services beyond just this contest once it's over. As I've mentioned before, my wife uses 'My Father's World' to homeschool our 4 children and it would be an absolute honor for me to be the winner and have my design as your new brand!
Mike, Please refrain from commenting on other designer's logos. While we appreciate your enthusiasm, we need to be the one's directing the designs and making comments. We have our reasons for ranking things the way we do and are looking for something very specific. We do appreciate your hard work and all the pieces you've submitted, we just want to keep the playing field level and not discourage anyone else. Thanks!
I very much apologize for that and I do pray that didn't hurt my chances at impressing you with my design. In other competitions that I have been a part of, users have posted comments regarding other logos and then put them in the "Logo Court" system.
So I sincerely apologize, and I have removed my comment.
Regarding your logos we appreciate all the submission. We are still looking for something a bit more flexible and unique. We need simplicity and scholarly power. We need to be able to change the idea easily among sub-brands and to extend the idea across brands. I think we need to avoid gradients so that we can print easily in BW, two-color and 4 color. There will abundant applications -- The side of a box being delivered via postal service will need to be BW or two color. Convention advertising needs to be bold and pop well. Catalog is yet differently.
So we need variety to choose from right now not similar concepts in different forms. That phase will come but for now we are looking for something very unique and powerful to develop in the next stage of the contest. Nothing has captured us yet.
I generally ask my clients for inspiration or their logos when I'm designing. So if I may ask, is there any certain imagery you'd like portrayed in the logo? Doves? Earth? Scholastic items?
Thanks for all your submissions. We now await more variety for other artists so we can have a broad range of choices before us. You have had many great ideas that we may decide to develop with you in a future phase.
Good morning, Thank you so much, that sounds great. I am actually working on a couple other ideas that I have been thinking up. I will submit them in the next couple of hours.
It has been an honor getting to work on this logo.
We are looking for Crisp and Clean -- Unique powerful Inspirational Memorable
We are really unsure of imagery at this point. We are just getting ideas. Your globe has uniqueness to it but the brush strokes make it seem a bit causal and artsy. Can you think of any other things you can do with an globe that would be absolutely Unique to MFW but be the words above as well?
Hi there, thank you so much for your insight and feedback! I'm trying really hard on this logo as I would so very much like to be chosen as the winner. I'd love for my kids to see "daddy's logo" on their homeschool material! :)
I have a couple other ideas that I'm concepting right now.
Mike, After resting Sunday we are back at it. Marie did not like the wreath but did identify the black and yellow globe as one of the favorites among your entries. We would like to see if there is something you can do with the glove to give some distinction. Most we need the zigzag removed from around it. Can you think of anything else that fade around it? I am not an artist but I colored a globe just like this one about 4 weeks ago on my ipad. Let's work with it some and see what happens.
Good morning! I had an epiphany last night and was so excited to wake up and add to the 'world' logo that I have been working on. I have just submitted two entries that I love for a couple of reasons (#192 and #193).
1) The globe is simplified for easy viewability and printability and ties in the "World" part of 'My Father's World'.
2) I added compass or map markings around the globe which represent guidance and direction which is precisely what My Father's World does!
Thanks for continued submissions. Please remove the "glow" over globes as it seems a bit distracting.
Compass marks were a good thought but makes the earth look a bit "scary" -- Spiked ball and chain. It you want to try this it needs to be more subtle. Unsure it will work.
#229 I designed with a 'halo' around the Earth to represent God encompassing the earth.
#228 I revisited the compass theme and added the 'N, E, W' directions to the points on the compass and the bottom, 'South' direction is pointing to the 'S' in the word 'Father's'.
I hope you like them...I am rather partial to the #229 with the halo.
180, 117, 167 in that order. These are the globes liked by most at a meeting today. So they should be your focus of new submissions.
Here are some comments. Can 117 be made less sketchy but maintain the sense of movement? People like Text in Small Caps Font , same size words, Staight across the bottom - With M, F, W slightly larger.
People like Greens for highlighting over blues.
Simple and straight forward.
Need to see Versions in black and White as well as color on white background
