My Contractor's LicenseLogo Design Contest

Is that attachment an example of the style you would like?

The attached logo is the one which won our last logo contest for our parent company. We aren't necessarily looking for something exactly like that, but rather we posted it to show you something else that we did like.

You might want to try including tools (graphics not photos) such as hammer, or saw, or circular saw blade, or levels or things that would be used by builders who are building homes or other buildings.

Maybe those things could be used as part of the logo or maybe they could replace a letter in the words or something.

Many of you have submitted some very nice looking logos. Unfortunately we've not seen anything yet that just really jumps out at us.

We aren't designers so instead of saying "here's exactly what we want you to design" we're counting on your design skills and talents to show through and see something that makes us say WOW.

Our product is a training program to help contractors and builders pass their tests to get their builder's license.

Designs #5 and #30 have a good graphic image that represent that, however the text is a little harder to read than that of design #44.

We are planning to extend the submission phase of this contest for a few more days.

If your designs were not ranked please consider submitting something else.

One more thing that may be useful in the design (maybe as a background image or something) is a circular saw blade.

We are planning to have that as the background for our software CDs so something in the logo that ties into that might be a good fit.

Again we're not "exactly" sure what we want, but if we see something that wows us we're ready for it.

The URL is going to be MyContractorsLicense.com so you might want to include a .com on the ones that are using text.

Hi everyone. Thank you for your great logo submissions! Some of these are really impressive.

Here's a few more things to take into consideration:

1. We would like to see all logos with and without a .com at the end of the word License. Our URL is www.MyContractorsLicense.com

2. We would also like to see all logos with and with the apostrophe for the word Contractors.
(Whomever we choose as the winner we will want you to provide those 6 combinations please as we use each of those in our marketing)

A - Contractor License
B - Contractor License.com
C - Contractors License
D - Contractors License.com
E - Contractor's License
F - Contractor's License.com

3. We would like to see some logos that use all or part of the circular saw blade to represent letters in the name. For instance half a saw blade could be used for the "C" in Contractors, and a full saw blade could be used for the "o"s in Contractors.

4. We would also like to see some submissions that include the tag line. "The easiest and fastest way to get your contractor license. Guaranteed!"

Last call for submissions. There have been lots of beautiful logos submitted, thank you all very much. One theme we noticed was that many of them seemed focused strictly on residential homes. Many of them had an image of a house.

While our clients do often build houses, they also do commercial buildings too. So if you want to try to include anything that may be representative of commercial buildings, that might work in your favor.

Also if there is a focus on builders passing a written exam that may work in your favor as well.
