Thanks! You definitely followed my input - green/purple/black, animal mother and child. I'm going to ask you to simplify if you can. I'm seeing too much branch and nest. Maybe more of a graphical representation rather than illustration. Hope you'll try again!
#23. Thanks for this revision. But, I feel like mom is missing an arm. Maybe her left arm should come around the baby. I still like the first one better but the scale of the graphic is better on this one. Thanks, Nat!
Thanks for the updated colors. My wife has a couple of reactions. She says our mom looks like she is in a business suit. In other works, working. She would like to see her softened up. Can we give her a face? Can we put her in a skirt?
Thanks! Glad you both like my work. I“ll give the mom a more "relaxed" hair. I“ll also try a face, but I“d like to keep it as clean as possible and if I give her a face details wont look nice in small sizes. What do you think?
Thanks for all your great work! I like the original face and hair profile better than the new one. Sorry. I still like #40 best. Maybe you could add the upgraded hands to #40. Here is a minor item - please drop the bold and font change on BABY and YOU in the tag line. I think I like the purple color better for this like in #44. Here's a more radical request - Can we get a more horizontal shape by moving the graphic in #40 to the left and stacking the store name on the right (like in #37)? Thanks!
Hi Nat - I'd like to refine the colors a little. Purple and green is good, but it's a little jarring the way we have it. I guess we need to soften it up a little. I saw a purple/green logo that looked pretty good - Yogurt Factory. In Portfolio, Retail, page 4.
I just printed the logo to make sure proportions are ok, and separated lettering from logo and let me tell you the circle (with mom and baby) looks great as a sticker :)
Hi Nat! We're down to the last day and it looks like I'll be picking either you or #2. I have a couple of ideas for final adjustments to #40. The blue/gray used in the tag line doesn't appear anywhere else in the logo. Seems like either, 1) make this purple or green, or 2) incorporate the blue/gray color elsewhere. I really liked the addition of the black in logo rank #2. Maybe you have an idea of doing #40 with some black? Another idea - I'd like to see the words "my" and "news" a little bigger. Can we still try to modify the colors a little bit? The fuchia in #70 is close, but too pink. The other new detail in #70 is great, but I didn't think the mom's face was improved with the two tone treatment. The mom grew a little bigger in #70 and I don't think I want to increase the scale of the graphic in relation to the store name. The purple in #37 seems a little lighter and that might soften things a bit. I still love your rendering of the stroller #39. I was wondering if, outside this contest, I could get you to do, maybe, six similar renderings in the same style. Mom feeding baby in stroller, mom taking baby out of crib, mom loading baby in car seat, mom feeding baby in high chair, etc. to represent each of our major product lines. Think about how you would charge me for that. Also, would you be able to find or make me a website background - maybe two-tone pinstripes (or something more creative) - that would go with the logo?
another one, with greys. About the extra work, no problem!. I have a baby so I have strollers (one Graco Quattro travel system and a Chicco umbrella one), slings, car seats (one up to 9 months and bigger babies), high chair, etc.. so I have plenty of models for references and even the same brand/models you sell.
Besides that I LOVE baby theme, everytime I see a baby/children theme contest here on LT I give it a try! :) I really enjoy it.
Good morning, Nat. Well, it's the last day. You're our winner! The #2 rank design is fantastic, but yours is simpler and we have all these ideas for add-on work like I mentioned before. We have some further ideas for minor adjustments. The tag line is going to be too small to read in most of the internet applications we will have. Let's drop the tag line for these next revisions. My wife would like to see #80 with the "my" in green. For the words in #80, I'd like to see a slightly darker green. In #70, you did some upgrades to the hands and added shading to the carrier. Can you incorporate these changes into #80?
We are interested in getting multiple versions of the final logo for different uses. With tag line, without tag line. A black and white version like #88. Maybe even a horizontal version, like #48. We'll need a version with just the store name. Please let me know what is included in the $350 prize and what would be the cost of extra versions. Also, have you thought about what you would charge for those product graphics I mentioned before? Thanks a bunch! You do great work!
here I am back with the new version. No tagline. About the files you get for the prize amount I usually send a vertical version, an horizontal one, black and white, greyscale and negative versions for different uses. For the other logos (maybe we can discuss it later), but I“ll need a full list of the different logos/illustrations and I“ll give you a pack price. I“ve done it before for the Supply Genie contest (in my portfolio). The CH bought the characters in different positions but those were more detailed characters so price is different in your case.
Thanks for our beautiful new logo. I would love to get a variety of versions, some of which are already done. I'd like to get #116 with no tag line. I'll need a horizontal version, with and without tag line. A black and white version would be good. I'd like a version with just the store name. Please also send along some of the un-chosen versions - with the lady in pink, without the circle, etc.
Here's the follow-up project: Remove the store name and the tag line from #39. Then do 5 more in this style - mom loading baby in car seat, mom feeding baby in high chair, mom doing something with baby in crib, mom and baby playing with toy or maybe one of those activity mats (http://mybabynews.com/store/shop_product.php?UPC=14034) , and mom giving baby a bath in a little infant tub. These will be used to represent our major product categories - car seats, strollers, feeding/high chairs, furniture, toys/activities and health/bathing. Maybe for the website, maybe for in-store signs, maybe for print. Please let me know your quote for that! Not sure if this is your area - but I will need a new background for our website to match the logo. Thanks!
