Not as interested in the character as the name. Maybe a silhouette to downplay the character? Have to be able to produce this across multiple media, including embroidered on shirts.

A little less busy in general. Maybe the guy is silhouetted in white, with red and blue on either side. Like the NBA or major league baseball logo.
