Really like the "check mark" idea. Like the font - looking very clean and pleasing.

Not sure about the colours. We're building a social-networking based app so we may need something less discreet.

the little dots over the V initially gave me an impression of two people connected which I thought was great. Then it occured to me it could be 2 people in a playground which I'm not sure would be applicable. But it did catch my eye.

about the "shake hands" concept - we're building a social-network based app, and the 2 big things are using people's personalities and their friend's to help them choose a new property. We are not dealing with the "sale" side, just the "buy" side so the shaking hands idea is not applicable right now.
