Hi Tia - here's a starting point. I was thinking about vintage, Southern jugs and some of the glazing art that could be found on them as an inspiration. For the art style, I started with a folk-art approach, featuring a pig with his arm around a shine jug and a straw hat pulled low...so he ocld either be passed out / asleep or just being shy :)
Any thoughts / revisions that you'd like to see, please just let me know. If you'd prefer a different style, that's cool too. I work in several :)
i love the pig but the background feels busy. also Id like to see moonswiners in a more swirly font if that makes sense. Is there any way to gave the bottom of the s curve and swoop much lower than the rest of the word and have the big sit there? let me know what you think of that
Here's a variation to address the legibility and the busy-ness. I also swapped out the lines for a wood grain pattern. I left the font blocky on this one, but changed some of the letters. I can keep looking at more swirly fonts, but I think with a word that's not really word, its sometimes better to use letters that are clear-er,if that makes sense?
Still thinking about other options...the larger S didn't work out for me because 1)it had to be really large to accomodate the pig and 2) with it not being centered, it put the "Moonswiner's" really off-balance. I'll keep trying, but so far, no luck.
