One thing I forgot to mention. I think we see the word Mood Swing as really one word like this: MoodSwing

The word "Media" is not as important as "Mood Swing" it can be very small or possibly left out. I see a lot of people have played off of the word "mood" we would also like to see some play on the word "swing" or both of them together.

As we see more entries we are starting to get a feel for what we want. Thanks for all the entries! We love the simplicity and impact of #45. We would also like to see some examples of maybe a Letterform mark and we were also thinking of something more abstract like an arcing line (or something, use your imagination) to somehow depict a swinging motion. We almost feel like the word mood caries enough power to it to not really need much visual representation than the letters themselves.

Also please do not limit yourself to the three colors I specified in the contest brief. Go crazy and be creative!

Thank you for everyone who has entered! My business partners and I had a meeting today and I think I have some pretty good direction for the logo. I think we feel like we would like to have some kind of symbol in the logo (I guess it's called an abstract mark) so even if the words "moodswing" were not seen people may still know that it is "Moodswing media". Entry #128 has a good start to this concept.

We also felt that a lot of the fonts were too cartoonish. I guess what I mean is that a lot of the fonts are kind of big and fat, so we would like to see some more elegant or thinner fonts. I also made a lot of comments on the top rated logos...check them out, they have additional direction.

Thanks everyone!

We had another meeting today and I think we made some good decisions. Concerning #189 and #168, we really love the font that he has choosen (also the font on #206 is good as well) and we also love that polished elegant look that his logo has, I'm not exactly sure how he does it but it looks great. We really love the concept of #181 how she created kind of an abstract shape and made it kind of swing.

About the ranking system...the system is designed to have 1 designer assigned to each of the top 4 spots....thus the winner gets 50 points , the silver gets 25 and so on...those assign to below 4 receive a token 1 point but these all add up to boost our personal rankings...

you are not governed by this but as mentioned by assigning 1 designer to each of the top 4 you recognize the time and talent that goes into you contest even though we may not win we do appreciate the awards given..if one designer is give all the awards it's not fair to the other participants who have dedicated time to enter you contest.

A request to the CH: if a designer submits 1 logo design with different background colors (white or black for example) please do not rank them as individual/different designs each time because this lowers the ranking of the rest. For example the 1st and 2nd ranked logo is exactly the same and so are the 3rd and 4th and so on. Also some extra feedback would be appreciated, why was there such a large time extension??

I missed something. The time has been extended by 5 days...?

Yeah, dunno the CH is confusing us a bit. Time extension is too long and there doesn't seem to be the need for one, there are already many entries and no feedback

Sorry for the delay, it takes a while when you have three partners making the decision. I reconfigured the logos to give people the proper credit, I didn't realize how important the ranking was beyond what we like. The time was extended because we felt we wanted to see some additional changes to some of the logos we hadn't seen exactly what we wanted...so 5 more days. Sorry we can not give feedback on all the logos, there just isn't that kind of time, we give feedback on the logos we are really interested in.

The logo for sure needs to have a symbol and we are pretty sure we don't want rainbow colors in the logo. The blues and greens that we have been seeing in the logos are quite good. (earth tones) Clean text is also a must (see #206), we also like having the words "mood" and "swing" different colors.

Additional comments have been posted to the top entries.

I think the CH was unfair, he extended the competition and then closed it before the end and logos which where in the top 10 did not even rank in the end.
Well done to the winning entries though, top work guys, you deserved it

The CH wasn't requesting additional entries - he would have said so if he did - he was simply getting a bit more time to firm up with his partners the choice they wanted. CHs may end contests at any time. They don't need to consult us.

Ok i didn't know that. I was only aware that after the competition finished they could take their time deciding during Judging time - so i did not see the reason for a 3-5 day extension which ended abruptly, that is all. Thanks for letting me know, appreciate it
