We are teachers union dedicated to excellence in education, solidarity in labor rights and community outreach.

Our local's color is red and we would like a logo that showcases blue, white and red. Perhaps the red should not be overwhelming as our shirts and clothing that the logos will be placed upon are red. Maybe the red can be used to highlight or complement the other logo colors. We are also not against supplemental colors popping up in the logo for emphasis or symbolism.

Our logo should convey solidarity, unity and dedication to educational excellence. Our current logo uses an apple to spell out the letters "MTA". We also want our logo to show community outreach and charity.
Our school district is located in Monticello, NY in the Catskills and our district encompasses the site of the 1969 Woodstock concert site in Bethel, NY. We are a rural district with an urban population and are located 90 miles north of New York City. We have mountains, wetlands, rivers, reservoirs, and woods in our district and we have all kinds of wildlife here including black bears, bald eagles, foxes, deer and trout. Our town, Monticello, has been referred to as the gateway to the Catskills and for a large part of its history, it served as a tourist and resort getaway area.
