Hello and heres my logo for your contest. It features a tribal styled sun, In the sun theres a solar panel represented by the diamond and linear pattern. It features a bright patch effect on the sun to represent light and also shadow etc to show dark and to give the overall effects of the sun. The colours I used were tones of green and yellow, the yellow to represent the sun and the green to represent energy and the effect the sun has on the growth of nature and also the green which a solar panel contributes towards saving the environment. If you like my entry I would be happy to experiment more with colours and writing etc just drop me a comment.

#100 - John I REALLY Like your entry! You have amde great use of light colrs and shades as well as 3 dimensionality.

I would really like to see if you could work on the tribal aspect of the sun - the flames are a bit too heavy and I am not completely sold on the specific color pattern you have worked out in the flame.

A couple quick queries on the flame aspect -
1. what would you think about offestting the flames a small amount of the circumference of the globe.
2. would it be at all possible to work a "3D" effect in the tounges of the flame (please understand that I am not an artist nor do I consider myself overly creative so please feel free to disregard these comments)

I would like to ask if it would be possible to work on a few different variations of the font.

Cheers your comment was very helpful. I have updated the sun and made it look more tribal and also updated the colours if you like it ill try a few different font etc leave me a comment and tell me what you think.

John - Thanks for the update. I do like what you have created.

If we might try something though -
1. The flames are still a bit heavy... and I would like to see what they would look like offset from the center globe a bit.
2. The shape of the flames still isn't quite there... I am looking for something a little more chic/streamlined/sophisticated(?)...
3. The pattern you have used is unfortunately very close to the Godsmack (rock band) copyrighted logo. I didn't realize when I left a reference photo that was from one of their designs.
4. Let's head back towards the original greenish color for the flames that you had come up w/ in design number 99. The way it looks now with the yellow flames it looks more like a sunflower to me.

Cheers but I dont feel you can claim this as when i went to research for this competition I typed in solar and the first image that appears is a solar panel which displays the diamond and linear pattern. . .

John can we try the design without the flames... I am getting the feeling that they are just not going to fit in to a professional brand identity.

I know that I originally suggested them but now seeing them on the page I am receiving feedback from interested parties that I should pursue a "flameless" design.

Would you have any artistic input on a design that is uniquely identifiable and would provide excellent long term brand identity. I don't necessarily need to beat the consumer with a hammer to get them to recognize the services my company provides I am more interested in a unique visual brand identity.
