Discussion

I prefer fonts that are not stock or standard. something specially created or an existing one that has been manipulated.

Hi All,

I have been asked by the client to look into this contest and make a decision *specifically* on use of the ice cream cone as the 'i'.

Considering this contest is for ice cream and most people are familiar with ice cream in a cone or small bowl format, combining either of those element with the text as a basic *CONCEPT* is obvious.

The issue may arise where a DESIGN (the method used to draw the concept) is too close. That is still an issue that can be resolved in LogoCourt and will be on a case by case basis.

As an example - it is clear that logope's solid yellow ice cream cone "i" and Faith's swirly "i" are designed very different while using the same basic concept of combining an obvious concept with text.

This does NOT mean that all combinations of elements with text are "obvious".

Hi guys, i know this a very late comment, but I wanted to point out that the product is used on both ice cream and baking. It is NOT essential that the logo contain a cookie or a cupcake, but if anybody has ideas, sure, i'd love to see them. Again, it's not essential, but I would like to offer this line of products to both the ice cream and baking buyers. Thank you, you all have done an AMAZING job.

This is still a very open contest. In the next few days I will share the top 6 designers logos with my team (I will limit to two or three each of course) and get their feedback. What i'm saying is that while the top few do represent favorites of mine, I'm still not sure of my #1. There are some incredibly awesome designs here and there are wonderful subtle differences between you talented designers that make each person's submission special and unique. Thank you so much for all your hard work. And in the next few hours, feel free to keep 'em coming if you have something different to show me.

this is top 5 phase running so only top 5 can submit ideas / revisions..and after an hour in selection phase only ranked 1 designer will be able to submit.

Thank You!
