Discussion

# 21 wow thanks for your input. I really like this concept - in particular the color scheme of 21. Would like to see "Landscapes" a bit more readable though.

taking another approach can you do something that has the stone represented in a more "impressionistic" or artistic sense and not quite as literal as it is here?

Is there also a way to incorporate something that evokes the fact that also do some work with plants - not just a stone guy?

Thanks for the feedback! Here’s a slightly brighter version with closed gaps between the stones and also between the stones and the ground … «Landscapes» is more prominent in black … i will work on the other suggestions later.

Leona, thank you for that change on #28 - I like it! - I like the more readable "Landscapes" although I prefer the slightly darker brown tone of the rock on #21.

Just another thought - as you try to bring something in to evoke some of the plant work that I do - as one option what if you put some ivy wrapping around the stone on the arch - you might have some other ideas that are more creative - but might be worth a try.

I look forward to seeing some of your other ideas later
Dale - Thanks again

Hi Dale,
I made the entry #36 just to have it – it is the same as #28, but slightly darker again (and with a very small change on top)
Entries #37 (I am not too happy with it) and #38 are a try with a plant – I realised at this moment, you are talking about ivy … I will try that later.
Well, it’s still the literal way – I‘ll see what I can do about it.

Yup I Like #36 - thanks for that little change. Thanks for incorporating the plants. Wiith #37 - try something that just is with smaller plants - trouble is, here they look like water plants - so it suggests that the arch in sitting in a pond. I don't do ponds (yet) . #38 Nice to see an idea with out the formal arch as one of your other ideas - go with that and see where it takes you. also try something that evokes the idea of plantings with out being so literal.
Thanks again for your ideas.

Another thought with # 38 it to try it something wth (3) rocks and some grass or plants. One is just to minimal to have the impact that I want - Thanks again for your ideas - Keep'm coming - Dale

Hey there - would really like to see this #36 with sometthing integrated into this design that has suggests plants - maybe ivy growing around the stone - really like this one but it needs plants of some kind. Thanks

Something completely new. I’m not sure if it works yet …

Great! I really like #60 - try to take some of the ivy away though - don't want it covering the stone to much. on #60 - remove the ivy between 1:00 and 9:00 and then add one or two leafs at the bottom on the right hand side so it like the ivy is coming from the ground up. maybe even place them at the bottem on the inside of the arch toward the back so it looks like the ivy is actually comming up from the ground at the back of the arch?

On #62 remove the two leaves that are furthest to the left and put two below the three that stay in place - again to connect the ivy down to the ground (not sure I like the largest leave size of that five that you used so keep the two new ones in scale with the others.

#61 - very interesteing - play with the green form a bit and see what you come up with. any way to make the 4 tiles look more like stone? that would be cool.

Thanks again for your submissions - Dale

Hi!
#69 and #70 with the revision (from former entries #60 and #62) – #71 the same as #70, but with ivy on the ground too – #72 is a greyscale version from #70; how I would use it on my b/w-laserprinter …

well … still not sure about that one :)

#69 and #70 - any chance I could see both of these with Landscapes bolded and
then both with Mitchell Landscapes bolded? - thanks for all the "little" changes over the last couple of days it is helping with the selection process.

#61 and #73 are getting some interesting feedback (I mean GOOD feedback) from some folks. I wish there was a way to make the four tiles a bit more stone shapes - think flat irregular stones set in a patio - or maybe the shapes you have just more rounded on the outer corners. just a thought - Watch out on #73 - starting to look like alien eyes on the ends of the green "stems". One reason that this one is getting attention is that it causes people to linger for a moment while they figure out what it might be - not a bad thing to have happen when folks are looking at my yard sign.

Thanks again for all your creativity - Dale

Great - thank you for that - can we try #82 in grey scale but rather than making the ivy white like in #72 make it black? thanks - Dale

Sure:
#69, #70 are now:
#80, #81 «Landscapes» bold
#83, #82 «Landscapes» and «Mitchell» bold
#84, #85 «Lancscapes» one pt bigger and – as consequence – less spaced out.
We see, for these decisions it’s better to see and test it and print it in front of the client. Stupid thing we cannot upload bigger images to LT when it comes to these details.

Thanks for the feedback again.

#36 - here is another take on getting "green" into the picture. What would it look like with a green background.
Across the entire back ground - or maybe a solid green circular back ground, or maybe the back ground is split between green and blue - think grass and sky. Play around with this if you can. still getting lots of good feed back on your design. Some have got issues with the ivy so trying some other more subtle ways to invoke the landscaping plants into your design design

What will #162 #163 look like on white? I like the less defied stones on these
