Hi :) My entry was inspired by vintage logos from the period when your store was probably just starting/built. I combined that aesthetic with some classic statue poses of Minerva (replacing the elements with candy, of course!) I think this logo works because it reflects the history of the store, but still has a retro/vintage trendiness to it that will never go out of style.

Any changes you'd like to see, please let me know. Thanks for your time & consideration.

Hi & thanks for the rank :) It would embroider quite well - on gradients and fairly thick lines are ideal for that medium. I'd be more than happy to make any adjustments you'd like to see - are there any aspects / qualities that you'd like for me to hit upon more? Would you prefer a different layout format? This one is more square-fitting...I was originally thinking of a packaging/labeling with that (I thought the size and easy transition to a single color would make it ideal for an ink stamp or simple, one color circle stickers)

I know you mentioned the owl - I would be happy to add that in - but my thoughts (feel free to take them for what they're worth :) ) is that most people are familiar with Minerva as a goddess/mythological figure, but may not know more than that; thus, they might not make the connection between the owl and Minerva. I thought a friendly, happy face with the candy might connect more with the customer (similar to the way the starbucks mermaid adds a "face" to a company)

How do you feel about the colors? Would you like me to turn up / down the brightness or swap any out?

Sorry for all of the questions/chatter on my part - hope you don't mind. I like to try and see what will work best for you, rather than just shotgun a bunch of designs (although - I can do that too, if it makes it easier for you - some people do prefer to see ALL of the options and just choose) If you have any thoughts/suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know :) I'll work on some more options in the meantime.

Thanks again for the rank and feedback.

Hi! Here are some variations with color, framing and font. I tried to keep the frames accurate to period (but not "dated", of course). I can mix & match or make any revisions you'd want to see :)

I've been showing single color options just so you know what is possible (for stamps/simple embroidering/etc.) - but on this site, winning designs should be accompanied with a single color version of the full color logo. Just in case you were concerned. Thanks!

If you have any thoughts you'd like me to try out it's no problem at all. Thanks again for your consideration.

josh - new at this - if you are number one do we get all of the designs or just our number one pick

Just the first ranked; however, some of the entries consist of the same elements, only cropped. For instance, #66 is #64 with a clipping path (not sure if that makes sense or not) Basically, if the clipping path was released, you'd have the full figure of Minerva and the text is the same. Not the case for all of them, of course.

If you would like the other entries we can definitely discuss that once the contest is completed. LT rules forbid us from discussing additional services during the contest. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I was thinking more about this logo (although I'm currently in 3rd) and how it could be customized for various food items. I think it would be cool to have the logo with different things in here hand - the primary logo being the one with the candy, but also have her holding a cup of coffee, bowl of ice cream, plate with a sandwich, etc. The different logo could be on the respective packaging (coffee cup sleeves, for example) Or on paper that could wrap a sandwich.

Just thinking how the brand could be flexible. :)

Mary and I still like yours best - it really fits the old look we have been after especially in remodeling the building. And now the logo. I won't embroider well according to our shirt company but I believe we can work with the lettering and leave the figure for the coffee sleeves. We are interested in all of the designs you have created and can see them all in various places and uses. How do we go about getting all of the designs if we pick yours? Like the idea of using her for different items - coffee, sandwich, sandwiches - great idea. Give us another day to think of your ideas - you are back to the number one slot.

Hi Tom & Mary! No problem at all - I totally understand. It's always best to explore your options and to be sure :)

I'm surprised that the shirt company doesn't think it will embroider well? What's the approximate size for the logo? I can check with some embroiderers I know and see if there is an easy solution that would allow for the graphic to be included.

We can work out the other designs once the contest is complete. We (designers) aren't allowed to discuss additional services until the contest is complete...a bit inconvenient, but it helps keep those who may negotiate for an unfair advantage in check.

Thank you for for the ranking - if there are any revisions/variations that you'd like to see, please let me know :)

thank you!

Hi :) Here are three more type variations. If none of these are right, I can keep trying (or if you want to mix & match from different versions, I can do that too)

thanks!
