We like your thought process and think the designs are really well balanced (esp for a cover design), however we think the milk bottle looks a little like a wine bottle...
thank you for the feedback and I do agree,,,was taking the letter "i" to literally almost any vertical ocbject can easily replace the letter I and still make the work readable
same concept another idea the bottle concept has marketing potential, especially for special occasions such as Christmas which could have ribbon and bow applied..(think google). The design can be animated for web used either filling up or emptying. Can be used of online marketing games such as "spin the the bottle" and others
Even if you have a print edition that uses e-INK..now the animated bottle would be very cool
We really like your bottle design - it looks fantastic.
Our only reservation is that the magazine isn't about the dairy industry, but we are in a dairy industry region. We are concerned that people will think the magazine is about milk or the milk industry. So our preference (having thought long and hard!) would be to avoid this... although it does look great, and I agree has great online potential. I think if it were more abstract we could get away with it.
I've changed the design to a more square layout and placed the tagline to the top the square layout is more focused and easier to spot among an array of other mags. also if by some chance the mags are not on the first tier then the tagline will catch peoples eye...because out of curiosity they will take a second look.
