#27 Looking at how much you spent on your new logo, I was thinking about totally redesign it. It is still a very rough pencil sketch just for you to see. Let me know if I am going to the right direction and I will finish it, or if you don't like it I will brainstorm and design another concept.
Wow. I don't see exactly how it will transform to be used for a logo, but it's certainly captured my attention. Batwoman doesn't wear mini skirts or heels, so let's ditch those, please. I'd like to see another rendition, but want to be super respectful of your time, if the idea doesn't end up manifesting. Thanks!
hi. I'm glad! I like where this is going. The hair... let's do the same length both sides. Also, brown eyes, please. And the shading on the face kinda makes me look like I have a 5 o'clock shadow, which isn't a good look on a woman. :) I'm excited by this design. The only other thing I can think of right now is the glasses. Am I allowed to point out what another designer did? If not.. I can find you a pic. I'd like to see two styles... one is the classic geeky thick black rimmed more boxey frame and the other along the lines of what you did in the original sketch, with it coming out like the old school librarian type. My current glasses are like it. I'll get you a pic. Thanks!!!!
Those aren't the style of glasses. I'm thinking more Clark Kent. The hair a mullet of sorts. Maybe do it more like the pic I attached? Not exact, but that somewhat evenly lengthed style. Thanks
Great. I made the revisions as you requested (brown eyes, hair, and glasses), if you think the glasses is not right, please send me your glasses pics. Are the faces still look 5 o'clock shadowed? Let me know what you think. :-D
hey. I'll get you pics of glasses. The face shadow is still there, all across the edge. And the hair isn't one length, but should be. Maybe one side is blown back, or something? ... but not different lengths
You did some subtle things there... it was cool. I had to keep looking to see. I think I like that ring of white around this one. I assume I could change that later. And it took me a bit, but I noticed the eyes in one are focused forward, and another off to the side. Cool! (could you please just note the changes with new revisions)? I assume I'll like some with one thing, and something else about another.
1. The shadow is on the right side of the face. Let's remove. 2. Also, I noticed a little sideburn. Girls don't have those. :) 3. The hair I mentioned. 4. The glasses... here's a link to what I have now: http://www.etniabarcelona.com/en/collections/medina-bkwh/?cat=&ord=new&tip=view&pos=1. The white in these frames on mine are actually red. You can use this to do a concept. They're geeky. I also like the glasses done by another designer in picture 21. I'm not looking for you to copy. I'd imagine that's not cool. It's more an example of that kind of geeky glasses. They're like the classic Ray Ban: http://www.ray-ban.com/usa/eyeglasses/RX5121-original%20wayfarer%20optics-black/805289151418. 5. Could you make the left eyebrow less angled up?
I'm sorry. This all means I'm excited about it. I hope you're not offended.
I am happy when you are, and feel free to ask for revisions. I love doing it. I am crazy about details on the character and will come back with revisions in around 4 hours.
Please have a look at my latest update (design #44 and #45). The 2nd link you sent (link to ray-ban glasses has no image). Hope I visualize the hair better now .
WOW. Okay... I'll deal with things like the perfect emblem and resume later. ...and in what direction the eyes... I can't decide.
1. Please remove what looks like a sideburn on the left side of the face. (girls don't have those) 2. The white around her... it goes up into the face, so it goes a bit far. There's a part of the left side of the face that's without color. 3. While I realize the eyes are behind glasses, could they show a bit more brown and have them "pop" a bit more? 4. I like the hair in general. Can it have a bit more life to it? Right now it seems so matted down.
and... idea... while i don't want to be straight on... maybe have me a little less turned left, which I realize came from the original design. Maybe have me somewhat more in, as well as the arm and resume. (and it's cool if that's next revision... sometimes it's hard to tell if too many things at once).
Thanks. I increased the prize, because I've realized that character works takes a lot. Why don't you wait to change me to be tilted... for now the hair and eyes, and we'll go from there. :)
I like it Sooooooo much more. We're down to the wire now. The hair on what would be her left (on the right when we look at her) seems to have a straggly piece. Could we "comb that down", please? And on her right side, let's do a piece kicked out, a bit in the spirit of my original logo, please. ... like some is blowing in the wind. I love the way you made it seem like it has more texture and the eyes are great! Thanks!!!
Ps - Can you use any open source commercial font? I'm researching fonts for the M.
Okay, that cracked me up. We're good on her left side. Maybe a bit too much wind on her right. :) And I haven't had bangs since I was a kid, so let's get rid of that one piece of bang hair. As for the winded... more like a section flowing out... not strands... somewhat like in the ranked #3, or in my original logo. I can't decide on the M... hummm. wow. so many details to consider.
Okay... no big if this next one is too big of a trouble. could you start her body from just below the belt. That bit of difference might change the proportions. The body seems slightly smaller to the head, proportionally. Maybe a bit more muscley... but I'm not sure. While I don't want her super busty, maybe if the chest area, (not just breasts) were a bit more sized, it would be easier to have an emblem fit. I'll trust your judgement.
And I love the new hair! Could you please just make the highlights a tad darker, please? I like the hightlights... just not the top being so light to the darker parts?
You've really worked with me. I'm upping the prize again. You've been fabulous!
Wow, thanks for upping the prize, again. Such a huge motivation :-D.
Yes, when it comes to cartoon character logo, many designers tend to exaggerate the size of the head. I modified the body as you had requested and made the character more like real human proportion.
I didn't think of that. Let's go back to a slightly out of proportion head. (yikes... sorry)
And... the chest seems a bit off to me. The arms could be more muscled, but they are great as they are, too. I only say it, if they need changing to accommodate the chest.
Ahhh. I just figured out the chest. I think the issue is that they look somewhat more like large pecks than breasts. Check out the 2nd ranked one... not asking to copy... just to get an idea. and the waist area can maybe be brought in a bit... I guess by taking in the left side some. A woman would have that wider breast area and then hourglass waist... (in theory). :)
It doesn't need much. Don't get me wrong. Just some shaving. :)
Maybe... not sure. They might be fine. Maybe could be a tad bigger.. more muscled. i think it's more that the left side of the body needs to cut in a bit more, to have a smaller waist. And then the chest a bit more girl proportioned. Does that make sense?
ha. I had to really look closely. I like her right waist a bit more in #77. I like that you knew I meant right, even though I said, left. I like the right boob better in 78. Let's add the left boob from 78 to the waist in 77... and modify both breasts. And then can you please also round out the other breast, too, please? One looks more rounded (i like that) and the other more like a really well defined peck. Let's have both a bit bigger (not huge) and rounded, pls. (more like the next ranked option). And a little less on the grayish shading on the breasts, please.
I just noticed 82's waist is slimmer. I like 82's body... I think. ...except the breasts, though getting closer. Back to my original to please round both more. The left one is more rounded, but still need more, and the right one rounded... and less gray shading on them.
hey. I actually prefer the other to #87. The other is someone pointy, but that's okay. Let's first focus on her right breast. we can size and adjust the other and pair from there. It maybe just needs the black line to loop up some. It's more a slight slant and horizontal, which makes it look more flat, like a peck. Take a look at the the other 2 ranked pics.
oh. I have the other two ranked to reference for a few other slight things, and for like the breasts, but so you know, you are the finalist. I'm not asking the others for any updates. i've already chosen you.
You know what I think would maybe fix it? Look at the 3rd ranked pic... there's a line to shade that rounds on the top side. i think that should display rounding. And in the 2nd ranked pic it's done different. it's more rounded from more above, with a line in the middle to indicate where cleavage would have been.
We're getting MUCH closer. Yes! I like the shading above the right breast. I like the red shirt somewhat brought in. Let's remove the gray shading above and reduce some on the side of the left breast. For *now* I think I'm otherwise good on the breasts. :) I'll take another look with the big picture, but i think we can leave it at this time.
It’s really down to the details. In the tummy, versus having the black line go like a half circle, could you make it more going down, please? I think that would define the stomach more. (like in rank #2). Her left arm… the forearm… could you please remove the black line that’s on there, the one touching the resume? And please add a black line to her right upper arm, in the middle. Where the wind blew her hair, could you please a dab of that yellow to that white space?
Now the resume... Can you take a look at 3rd ranking one, please? I'd like to make it a white that's darker than it is now, like a grayish white, so it will contrast better against white email backgrounds when it's in my auto-signature. Also, let's add some gray lines to show there's "writing" on the resume, please.
And now that she has new breasts, can i see some emblem options, please? :) there's a font called, "covered by your grace", and another called Allan that I think might look cool.
I'd like to again see the M from #97. While I like an emblem, am wondering if the spacing calls for it, so maybe just the M. I'll think.
And... instead of the oval belt buckle, let's do an M. Maybe black belt with white M buckle... or red belt and black buckle. IDK. It could be cool. :) Okay... I admit I just say that come through... the number 3 ranked. It's cool.
I understand about the belt, but I might not be allowed to use element from another active designer. Even though you have chosen me, technically he still has an open chance of winning because he is in final phase.
If I am not mistaken, it will be okay for me to borrow element from a designer who is not in final phase, so I will put M on the buckle later in the File Delivery Phase after you declare me as the winner, or later when he is no longer a finalist :-)
I am going to carefully review this and show to friends, having them make suggestions.
Can we now try the M buckle?
and I'm thinking maybe slightly reangle the resume, so that it's a bit more straight forward. darken the word, resume, and maybe increase the font a bit so it can be more easily seen. and the word, resume, move it down on the resume just a tad.
Once I have a final file, are you open to discussing alternates? What I mean is that I'd love to see with another pair of glasses I love, without glasses, maybe with a mask. Also, with my company name, and one with just me and the resume, not circle. Those things aren't part of the contest... which is why I didn't bring it up until I officially had only you. I would certainly not expect them for free, either. I'm thinking we first identify a final winner for this, which is going to be what we have now... and now just minor tweaks. Then are those other things easy enough for you, like changing or taking away glasses, adding a name, etc. Can you give me an idea of how much extra we'd do, be it in this prize, or privately. I'm good with however works best.
Thanks. Here we have more straight forward angle and straight forward angle resumes with variations of buckles for you to choose.
Yes I would love to do additional work after the contest, privately. That is why I joined such an intermediary site like LT, to meet new people like you who need graphic design service :-D
I will send you my mail after the contest end (now it is still not allowed by LT rules).
let's try: a black M with a white belt a black M with a red and black belt a black belt with a white thing behind the belt
and maybe a white M with a black belt (that might look nice)
please remove the bottom shading on the resume. i like the curve of the 1st one and just wanted it a tad more tilted straight... but will have to see. maybe show with a 2nd page coming from the back... you know... like at the corner
