What We Do
Miami Community Ventures (MCV) is a collective impact initiative designed to connect low-income, structurally unemployed individuals to living wage jobs. Partnerships with Miami-Dade County, generous sponsors and more than 70 local organizations and businesses allow MCV to provide program participants vital wrap-around services – transportation, childcare, success coaching and others – that help them not only secure but successfully keep a living wage job.
Prioritizing communities with double-digit poverty rates, eligible program participants include Miami-Dade residents who are public assistance recipients, returning citizens, at-risk youth (19 - 29 yrs.), or disabled; with an emphasis on female heads-of-household and veterans as sub-groups.
For the sake of this logo design contest, the Target Audience is broad. Given the nature of this program, the MCV brand is presented to business and community leaders in both the private and public sectors, with additional targeted outreach to program participants/potential employees.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Miami and Community are the two most important elements of the name. Ultimately the program is a workforce program dedicated to building a stronger community in Miami-Dade County.
