One alternate i felt compelled to try. Going with the optical side of things and the assumption that mezmeriz is pronounce mez-mer-eyes here is an eye concept.
Absolutely love #44! #45 is cool too, but its likely that this logo will get printed by our customers in b&w so we'd still like it to be vibrant and recognizable. The multicolored center will lose its effect whereas the black (even maybe the orange) won't. Personally I like the greyish back ground with the reflection, but again, when printed in b&w doesn't look as good as the plain white back ground. The 'eyes' concept was cool too, just didn't have enough color. Thanks so much for the designs--I truly appreciate it. Look forward to seeing if you've got some more cool ideas.
Great feedback yet again, thanks so much. I will continue playing and get back to you with revisions.
A quick question - is the name pronounced mesmerise? as it may pay for me to highlight the "i" in your company name to help convey the pronunciation better and make it more memorable (thoughts?)
Ok here are a couple more variations. I was reluctant to change the font color too much because the whole design gets a bit crazy and the eye doesn't know where to look first. I have deepened the yellow and introduced some new fonts/ideas so let me know if you would like elements of these combined into one.
Ok, agreed on not messing with the font color. Also the company name is pronounced 'mesmerize', and the highlighted I is nice--great thinking! I like the design of #58 too, but I think using the spiral from #56--which I still like best, would look great. Perhaps having 2 more designs:
1) keeping the same font in #44 and the text color black or navy blue with an orange 'I' laid out like #58 i.e, color spiral with black center over text instead of the blue spiral with grey center over grey text in #58 2) same as 1, but keeping the same font in #58 just change the text color to navy blue or black text and an orange 'I' Thanks,
I really like #61. Its got a nice eye catching mix of colors and also like the black text with orange 'i'. I was absolutely wrong about the navy blue text, I think black is the best with or without a highlighted 'i', but black and red, green or blue combo in the spiral works fantastically for the 'i' color as well. If you can convert the text in #61 and #62 back to black instead of navy blue, and also try the RGBY color wheel with #61 with a red or blue or green 'i'--I'd love to see what the different color wheel combo and text looks like. The designs you've come up with are definitely the most eye catching ones I've seen--almost certain one of these is what we're going to pick.
two more for you. I have tried to reduce the 'inc's' look as i felt it was making the name difficult to read. I have also made the 'i' a color from the wheel to reduce the colors used overall. Let me know how you go.
Like it. I think it has come down to picking one of the top 4. I did get one piece of feedback from a friend that I overlooked--his comment was the RGBY color wheel reminded him too much of google. I think #61 resolves that and keeps the logo eye catching. Any other color combination ideas you have for the color wheel would be appreciated. The color wheel idea that you've come up with is a very dynamic looking logo. Ant the RGBY color combo makes it so vibrant and eye catching (not to mention related to our optical technology). If you can think of other combinations of color in the color wheel that would also look great (like #61) that would be great. Thanks
Here is one more colour wheel option and my personal favourite. It still pops but doesn't distract the eye from the name and the name doesn't look confusing.
I think we've got a winner in #77. Last request that I've received from the rest of the company is that they would like to see #77 with a capital "I" instead of the lower case and in black--so not colored I. I'm hoping that after you post that one we can close the contest.
