I present you clean, strong and minimalistic solution for Merchant National logo. I love its simple and elegant symbol which represents both letters 'M' & 'N', solid stenghts on market and also technology (for it's perfectly precise geometry). The logo is simple, easy to read and remember. Symbol can be used separately as a powerful part of visual identity. Powerful idea, clean and bold solution. Thanks for any comments. Simon
I just wanted to encourage you to perhaps submit a few more variations of this logo. The more I look at it the more I like it. You've definitely got a good idea with that "M" treatment, please remove color from the background (make plain white), maybe do some resizing of the "M", some different colors (you could probably go with some lighter colors if you have a plain white background), and lastly mess around with the font spelling of Merchant National.
We need to select a winner for this asap and close this contest asap, so we'd appreciate any additional submissions. Regardless of whether we choose you as number 1, we'll DEFINITELY rank you w/ 3rd or 2nd in worst case scenario based on your obviously high level of creativity in this submission.
Hi, I am sending you few solutions. I changed color and I changed typography. Symbol needs decent typeface so it stands out. I dont want to distrub its simplicity and graphical impact with too dominant typeface. Also I believe that caps (big letters) goes with the symbol better though it's maybe little less readable. Please, give me some more specific instructions which way you want to push typography and also your color preferencies. Thanks for feedback. Simon
Hi, I also like it in blue. It feels somehow right for me. And I like this classical typeface (Helvetica Neue) as it's elegant, serious and lets the symbol shine out... Nice.
We're REALLY loving your design, you really listened to what we were looking for and were successful in integrating the full acronym (the "M", and the "n") into the mark. We're getting close, I know it, can you try these treatments:
Please swap the fonts between entry #51 and entry #50: I believe I prefer the color palate of entry #50, but the font (Helvetica?) of entry #51.
Can you also pick some of the colors that you think would work the best for this logo and just paint them onto the Mark? That's be awesome!
I'm sure you have your bank of valuable resources, but just in case there are one or two you haven't heard of on this list, I thought I'd just g'head and send it your way (not to suggest you need it by any means!):
Hello Christian, I am happy you like that simple minimalistic idea. These logos help to sell. I give you two more options regarding colors. I tuned up the blend in symbol so now its more copperish and shines a bit. I really like it that way as it's not too trendy orange or too boring red. Then I think the option would be in steel blue blend (next entry). Copper for me is very good. Logo stands out and it's well combined with the grey. Black doesn't work for me too well. I don't think there is any need to put in another color. That would be distractive. Waiting for your comments. Regards Simon
I like the way we can work with the symbol as it doesn't necessarily be on the left. Placing it on top of the typeface it gains more power and elegance. The typeface is not Helvetica but Breuer Text. Beautiful and modern font that is just perfect for both - corporate use and also long texts (brochures, leaflets etc.).
We are going to close out this tournament early- will you please send me the large image file for entry #50, #51, and #102 as soon as possible?
My name is Jessica, I am working with Christian on some design work which requires the logo asap- you can email to jessica@fotofix.com. I believe one of these three is what Christian wanted to go with, I just want to make sure I have each so I can swap out the correct one!
