Slogan
Better Patient Care
What We Do
We design, manufacture and sell patient eye protection for use on patients in operating theatres (operating rooms) in
Hospitals and clinics throughout UK and Europe.

Our Company is Called Medical Devices Ltd
Industry
Medical
Color Preferences
We would like to see colours that reflect healing and tender care as well as strength of our knowledge.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We would like a pictorial mark which conveys safe eyes, improved patient care, improved eye protection at lower costs through clever innovation.

1# the eye protectors are designed to be used by patients with a range if nose widths, from narrow nose bridges up to wide nose bridges, by cleverly turning the eye protectors through 180 degrees it fits both types of noses. One of the cut outs for the nose is narrow and the other on the opposite side is wide.

2# the curved shape of the patient's face causes the protector lense to also curve and as it is curved and placed over and around the eyes, this curving makes the lenses stronger and safer.

3# the shape and positioning of the foam around the eyes, allows the medical grade adhesive to attach the foam to the patient’s skin and importantly prevents from attaching itself to the patient's eyebrows. In competitor products the adhesive attaches the foam to their eyebrows and often causes pain to the patient, when removing the eye protectors as the adhesive pulls on the eyebrows. Patients who have had chemotherapy have reported that the adhesive can even remove their eyebrows.

4# we provide three sizes, small, medium and large, a greater range than our competitors

The designer's daughter of the eye protectors has suggested that we print a butterfly's body on the see through packaging between each oval shape of the eye protectors (see drawing of the eye protectors below), which represent the butterfly's wings.
We are developing more products for the lean times now faced in the hospital sector to accommodate reducing health budgets
- We manufacture many of our products in the UK, which enables us to monitor production and ensure high quality levels
- Helping us to offer better value for money than that of our competitors.

We would like the word Safe-Eyes to be prominent; the idea is that hospital staff will refer to our products as "the Safe Eyes" or "Butterfly eye protectors"

Hi Guys,

Thank you for the logos so far, we really need to have two eyes showing (If eyes are going to be in the logo)

Hi Guys please stay away from logos that look like the security industry. Only one person seems so far has fully read our
brief!.
number 1 looking best.
Remember what we stated about the colour "We would like to see colours that reflect healing and tender care as well as strength of our knowledge."

We've added a new photo so you can see what the Safe-Eyes looks like on a patient. (Although bear in mind the patient would usually be anaesthetised!)

Hi all,

We want to stay away from the whole logo Black.

1, 2 and 3 need more creativity
Explore the colours a little more
4 and 5 look like chains -try to make them recognisable as being related to eyes and their protection.
6 think about a pair of eyes not necessarily in the normal position

What imagery might indicate care, safety, protection?

Hi All,
We'd be interested to see some warmer colours too.
Also, remember what the Safe-Eyes do - they offer protection to patients who are vulnerable to eye injury whilst under general anaesthetic.

For those logos which are oblong can you try placing safe-eyes curved below or above the protectors image and place better patient care opposite. This will change the overall shape to square or round ?

Please note the first 10 in order of ranking are being viewed at present as all having a similar level of acceptance but do not yet have a wow factor!

Safe-Eyes is going to be a part of our Absolute range of products. We're undecided as to whether we want the Safe-Eyes logo to tie in with the Absolute logo. Perhaps you can help us decide; we've uploaded a copy of the Absolute logo for your reference.

Some nice logos coming in, but we're not there yet. Keep them coming!

Hi All,
Lots of entries coming in now, which we'll be ranking later. In the meantime we'll be sending private messages where appropriate.
If it would make it easier for the designs, the slogan 'better patient care' can be left out.
Thanks for all the work you're putting into this. there are some great ideas coming through.
