GREAT START!! completely agree modern, impacting yet simple & dynamic. There is another agency out there with a similar "swoosh" (Angel Medflight) so may need to try something different. The font will be an important element. Wanna try Bitsumishi or Rockwell Extra Bold? We played with them and liked the italic version. Has to be a thick font, showing movement. Thoughts?
Thanks for the look and feedback! I looked at Angel just now and their icon is the A/jet thing. The swoosh is very different and very much secondary - it's not even used much of the time. As I have used it it is suggestive of a wing, speed, purposeful direction, etc, without being overly specific. I'll play with some iterations and post those soon...:)
But that's not a logo. It's not a registered mark, I'm sure. And even if it were, it's a slip-stream from the jet graphic. I've been doing this a very long time and know that from a graphic and legal point of view the graphic I've presented will fly (:o - pun, lol). Now, if it's a question of taste, that's something else again...
In #92 what if the changed color star kept within the oval ( I think smaller) and the red in 911 was a deeper blood red. We like the motion created with the font.
Hey were looking at #121 and wanted to get your thoughts about putting color into "911" maybe with a red gradient? Or 911 in red and tag line in silver/grey?
In #134 can you bring the gradient line in 911 to half way down the font (half red/half white). And what if the gradient went from left to right? We wanted to see if that makes any difference. Thanks
Yes, it stands out well. I'm just playing with one last detail - I think I'd like to try a tagline font that's just a wee bit airier to enhance crisp readability - stay tuned...
Did you get the diagonal gradient request? From the lower part of the 9 to the top part of the last 1, the same gradient as #151 but diagonal with the darker part to the right? What do you think?
#151 - yup - didn't like it at all (right now it's just about 10 degrees off axis which is about as far as I can push it for improved effect versus a confusing one).
Hey quick clarification. In #151, the diagonal would start at the bottom left of the 9 and up to and to the upper right of the last 1. So the 9 would be mostly white and the last 1 would be mostly red. Angled to match the blue rectangle behind it. It looks like yours is the other way. Does that make a difference?
This may be a small point, but in #152 (and #151 ), apart from being the best visually as far as my eye goes, there is a very subtle hint of optimism with the lighter part of the 911 being skyward. Sounds goofy, I know, but God is in the details:)
I'm sorry for all the confusion, #151 seems to have the gradient inverted from what I was looking for, it looks darker at the top right. Your gradient line should be from top left to bottom right, lighter to darker, so the top left of "911" is white and the bottom right is red. Is it too late to try this?
